Stayed here a few times and never had a problem as it’s convenient to motorways. Today however, we had a mid 50s guy look through our window and when confronted he trembled and said he thought we were someone else. Never had any issues until today, but the people who “dog” here really do need to get lives it’s insane
Stopped here at 5pm. Bloke trying to look through my windscreen in to the van. When I asked what he wanted he asked ‘are you on your own?’ Presumably meaning did I have a woman with me. He got told to ‘go away.’ Several cars cruising up and down looking in to other car windows. Dogging central.
I parked up and was joined by the local car racing team.... The whole parking layby was taken over by boy racers who were racing up and down the a570 Rainford road. Once the police moved them on, there were cars driving past very slowly and stopping next to my car and giving me the death stare. I ended up leaving at midnight as this is definitely a dogging location.
Never had a problem here, it is a dogging place but just the odd person flashing their hazzrds.. Just make sure you don't flash yours! roaminrob - YouTube!
Cool spot. Didn't experience any problems. There are bins alojg this spot so i could get rid of my trash.
Very long lay-by/road. We were a bit put off by the previous review re: dogging - there was one vehicle that drove past us very slowly and pulled up directly behind us. We just moved into another spot farther along. Someone did walk past shining a torch at our windows, but we’d shut all of our blinds. Managed to get a quiet night’s sleep without problems. Just be careful/keep doors locked etc.
Tuesday evening. 4 lorries parked up, seemed quiet. Later, slow moving cars repeatedly driving past, clicked it might have been a dogging spot. After dark it properly started, 5 or 6 cars flashing headlights, people getting in and out of cars, cars driving constantly past with lights on. Impossible to get any sleep. Abandoned ship at midnight and got back on the road. Basically dogging central.
Really good spot. The layby is set back from the main road enough for a quiet nights sleep. We've slept here multiple times without a single problem. The layby itself is large, flat and has a number of bins. Decent views too.
