lovely quiet spot. easy access, though a bit uneven in places. Fantastic views.

Watch out for the high tide! At the 5m tide the water was around 40-60cm deep, not passable. Nice spot otherwise. But 3-4 vans max to avoid overcrowding. Someone reversed their van right up close to my sliding door when there were already 5 of us there so we left.

Great spot, can be cut off by high tide so be aware of your tides. As a local motorhomer i come here often to walk my dogs. It is becoming very busy during summer months, please max 3 or 4 motorhomes/vans, otherwise locals may become annoyed and a barrier may be errected. As most of us do, respect the prestine beauty of the place and leave no trace.

Spent one night. Recommended. You can either park on the jetty or, easier, on a large gravel area. At high tide a few inches of water cover part of the track to the gravel area. Still easily passable on the 4.9m tide while we were there.

Joli spot, mais l'espace est grand ; évitez de vous coller les uns aux autres, et s'il semble y avoir assez de véhicules, trouvez un autre endroit. Beaucoup de locaux passe en journée et soirée pour la ballade et les coquillages. Je ne serais pas surpris d'une futur interdiction

Lovely quiet spot. Views over Galway Bay. Few potholes and dips as you drive in so take it slowly. Uneven but managed to park level and had a very peaceful night's sleep. We moved to here from Trácht as there were quite a few boy racers arriving and we were worried it would be noisy at night. Kinvarra busy with Campers, counted 12 on or around Pier & another 2 at Castle car park.

Superbe endroit pour passer la journée et même la nuit. Nous étions 4 vans et il y avait suffisamment d’espace. Très calme, seuls quelques nageurs et promeneurs pour le coucher de soleil. Attention quand la marée est haute le chemin est sous l’eau mais cela n’est pas gênant une fois que l’on est installés. Attention aux moustiques

Lovely park up especially if you have dogs, large beach to give dogs a run on safely. We decided to stop travelling and spend the day here. Access to the site is only at low tide at high tide the sea comes in around the harbour putting you on a little island. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. Locals come and walk dogs and a couple of swimmers.

We stayed on pier, because tide was up when we arrived, but very calm place, we were alone here - only dog walkers in the morning. About 15 minutes walk along the beach to the toilets opposite, if you need :))

Très beau spot nature ! Nous étions 3 vans, avec largement la place. Face à la mer, emplacement plat, un peu venteux mais vue magnifique sur la mer. Quelques promeneurs de chien sympathiques. Possibilité de se promener le long de la plage ou de se baigner pour les moins frileux.

Mooie plek om te overnachten en op 45 minuten afstand van Galway, perfect voor ons aangezien we de volgende dag naar Galway gingen. In de ochtend waren er wel hondenuitlaters.

Wij hebben hier overnacht met de land rover met Daktent en dat was prima,er stonden nog 2 andere campers maar er is ruimte genoeg voor nog veel meer campers enigzins beschut en een mooi eind vanaf de doorgaande weg

Eigentlich ein sehr schöner Spot. Die Zufahrt ist, wie andere schon geschrieben haben, sehr holprig aber machbar. Wir haben uns jedoch dagegen entschieden hier zu schlafen, da wir nicht sicher waren, ob die Zufahrtsstraße durch die Gezeiten geflutet wird (wie schon auf Bildern zu sehen). Es lag auch überall Seegras, das darauf schließen lässt.

Locally known as Lynchs pier. There is plenty of space. Take care driving onto the parking area, some ruts, and some slippage of land.

As others have mentioned, the last few metres has some large potholes, but you can navigate safely. The reward is a spot right on the pebbles. Amazing place … calm and peaceful, only broken by the sound of crashing waves. No services. 4g ok.

Spot molto suggestivo, quasi sulla spiaggia (di sassi). Abbastanza isolato ma sicuro, ovviamente nessun servizio. 50mt di strada sterrata senza grossi problemi, anche con un van di grandi dimensioni. Molto ventoso, ma il rumore del mare è bellissimo.

Le spot était inaccessible lors de mon arrivée du fait de la marée haute. C'est innacessible 2/ 3h lors de marée haute. Ça doit aussi dépendre des coefficients. Accessible tout le temps pour les 4x4 car y'a un autre chemin de terre en haut. Je me suis mis au bout de la route vers la jetée. Ça ne gêne pas et vue mer. Calme, seulement quelques promeneurs de chiens.

A perfect spot for a night or two. A mile's walk to Tracht beach for an ice cream. Locals come to swim evening and early morning. The access road is bumpy so drive carefully. It can be wet and flooded. Great for swimming as the tide comes in and paddleboarding. No services.

Super endroit, sauvage, un peu 4x4 pour entrer mais ça passe. Nous étions 7 CC en tout, assez de place. On recommande.

Fantastic and very quiet place, we slept so well. Super place for dogs, you can walk along the coast and they can swim too. Great to kayak as well. There were a few other vans/motorhomes for the night. This is a very popular place for horse riding, hence you need to be careful if your dogs aren’t used to horses. Lovely spot for locals to swim as well, very friendly lot. A truly wonderful place!

Great spot although very exposed in NW winds. The grassy hollow on the way in (West side) of this spot should be avoided as it floods on Spring tides

Superbe endroit en bord de mer avec une jolie plage de galets et un petit quai d'embarquement. Très tranquille peu de passage et la nuit on voit les lumières de Galway de l'autre côté de la baie, c'est jolie.

Easily accessible, secluded and peaceful. Lots of wild birds. Just a few dog walkers and wild swimmers. Lovely views! Lots of space to park, we had the place to ourselves one night (July) and then just one other vehicle on a second night.

Endroit très paisible avec une belle vue mer. Nous nous sommes garés sur l'herbe à proximité du quai. Quelques voitures en soirée et en matinée (baigneurs et promenades de chiens). Pêche possible sur le quai mais nous sommes revenus bredouilles.

Stayed here for one night in March we were the only camper,beautiful location very quite and only about 30 mins from Galway city,tide came in on high tide but wasn't an issue for me,peaceful nights sleep looking across at the Galway night.

Great spot for on the way to Galway. Parking right near beach, no services but water and toilets at parking on other side of bay (which has a couple of temporary parking spots before the 2m barrier).

Spent a night here with one other van. Super quiet and peaceful and parked on grass right next to the shore. Can’t get much better than this. Recommend.

Parked here for one night, Fabulous place to stay, we drove past the pier and parked on the bank. Nice and even no need for leveler. Friendly locals swi.ming and fishing but a very quiet night would have loved to have stayed longer. Will return. leave no trace!

Endroit très calme avec vue sur la mer d’un côté (baie de Galway) et ballet des mouettes et choucas et vue sur le Buren de l’autre côté avec des champs séparés de petits murets de pierre et de paisibles vaches rousses qui nous regardent. La nuit a été venteuse mais calme et quel plaisir au réveil de contempler ces paysages !!!

Stationnement facile, avec vue sur l’eau, face à Galway. Nuit tranquille mais véhicule exposé au vent. Attention cependant aux forts coefficients de marée qui peuvent gêner légèrement l’accès.

We investigated. It looked OK but there are houses overlooking from a short distance and it is a very popular dog walking / fishing place. The tide came right into the right hand hard-standing parking (early Nov '21) so we moved to the grass beside the pier, but that was waterlogged. We decided to move on.

Gran lugar para pasar la noche en un sitio tranquilo, a 25 minutos de Galway y pie de playa escuchando el sonido de las olas. Lugar silencioso y apartado, tanto por la noche como por la mañana. Sensación de seguridad.

There are public toilets 1.5km away, a nice half hour walk along the beach and you're there. Open 0830-2145. Other than that, nice, quiet spot with a nice view.

Great spot, stayed one night, more dog walkers than I expected but no one after 10pm. quieter than the nearby beach. Approach road is narrow but we'll paved and should be no problem for anyone. Park off to the right where the ground is stable and level.

Attention à l’endroit du stationnement, ne pas se mettre en contre-bas à cause de la marée par gros coefficient. Endroit calme. Jolie vue sur une plage de galet.

Spot facile d’accès, de la place, plage à quelques mètres. Ce n’est pas le plus bel endroit sauvage que nous ayons fait en Irlande mais ça vaut quand même ses 4 étoiles !

Effectivement ce spot permet de bien se ressourcer et de dormir dans un environnement calme et agréable dans la baie de Galway avec comme vue Salthill au loin. Les chiens viennent courir et nager avec leurs humains, 2 nuits vivifiantes

This place is awesome. No amenities, no problem. Right by the beach. Watch where you’re driving, the sand can be soft in places. Might be tricky with a larger vehicle. I was in a van.

Très bel endroit, toutefois nous avons été surpris par une montée des eaux voir photo. Dommage nous avons préféré quitter ces lieux idylliques

We tried to stay there for the night but moved the car during the night as it was way too windy (weather was very stormy all over the country). Nice place to stay overnight during good weather conditions.

Perfecto para ver el amanecer y disfrutar del baño. tiene un paseo muy bonito a lo largo de la costa hasta la playa oficial, dónde hay aseos de buena calidad y limpios.

Calm evening with views across the bay of Galway. Plenty of space for camper vans and larger motor homes but be careful of soft sandy areas when parking. Very exposed if wind however on our visit very calm and peaceful. No facilities. Beach can be busy on warm evening but still easy to park up.
