As mentioned below it's s parking nowadays. Park at the edges, since it's used as a training spot for driving schools. In the evenings it's used as a hangout spot. Nights were mostly quiet. The spots are small so I blocked another parking spot at the edge of the road with the back overhang of my L4 Ducato. The parking was never full, so I don't think anyone mind.
Nowadays it's a good and not too busy city parking spot. We spent a quiet night at the free parking lot close to public toilets. For little money you reach the center quickly by bus or Taxi. There are some nice restaurants and bars around, too. new coordinates: 42.836574,74.588563
