Great location. Large car park on a hill overlooking countryside. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly. Lovely food at restaurant prices. The main village (Crowle) a few minutes up the road. No other pubs or shops except a shop / cafe at the far end of the village. No circular walks on pavement unless you use footpaths (which were wet & muddy). Worcester and Croome NT both well worth a visit.
What a great place to spend the night and for the cost of a couple of pints in the very friendly pub. There was 3 campers there for a week day, woke to beautiful views as a bonus.

Sehr uriger und gleichzeitig moderner Pub mit Garten. Völlig ruhig und im Grünen. Großer ebener Parkplatz, wo wir mit dem Wohnmobil problemlos einen Schattenplatz gefunden haben. Sehr nette Menschen. Auf Nachfrage beim Bier bestellen ist es kein Problem hier über Nacht stehen zu bleiben.
Excellent food, friendly people, no problem at all staying over night if buying drinks or food, booked ahead on a sat night but didn’t need to really, plant of room in the carpark

Perfect stopover! Great menu at pub, quiet for a nights sleep, woke up to a wonderful view across the field with horses. Definitely recommend. FYI lots more spaces than the 5 detailed in the listing.
Stayed here overnight Friday, after telephoning about 2 hours prior to arrival - very welcoming response on telephone. New Autumn Menu contains a selection of deliciously sounding food and our starters and mains were very tasty. Huge car park, we spent a very quiet night but woken earlish as the local ‘horse and hounds’ gathered!
Friendly staff and easy to find. Nice open fire to unwind by. Large carpark so you can park far from the pub and streetlights if you want. Thanks The Chequers!
Woke up to a stunning view. Great little spot for the night. Pub and staff were lovely and the area was really quiet! Would recommend!
Toller ruhiger Übernachtungsmöglichkeit mit Ebenen Stellplätzen...Wir waren ohne Anmeldung erst Abends da und alle waren super freundlich...Wir haben hier ohne Reservierung vorzügliches Essen bekommen und haben danach auf der Pubseite noch gemütlich etwas getrunken. Atmosphäre war super...Jung und Alt versammelt

After seeing this on Park4Night we stopped off here to split our drive from Lancashire to Cornwall. Just a 5 min drive from J6 of the M5. We were too late to order food but looked nice. Ordered drinks and checked with bar staff, who said no problem to stay in van over night. Fields at back of van so not a bad view for a pub carpark. Thank you P4N community.
