A superb little campsite. Great location to explore Northumberland. Lovely hosts. Site is neat and well kept. Facilities are basic but perfectly clean. The pub is an obvious bonus. I will definitely return for a longer stay

saltandbits07/08/2025Little campsite by a pub. Paid 22 for a small van, two people and no electricity. Pub didnt serve food the day we were there. Town is close enough and has some great options, so it was no problem! Great town for a walkaround! Good views from the campsite. Busy road though and very old but clean facilities.
UweN.17/07/2025Wir haben laut ADAC Karte hier angehalten, um Toilette zu leeren uns Wasser nachzufüllen. Die Besitzerin des Pub hat uns bereitwillig weitergeholfen, ohne etwas zu verlangen. Vielen Dank dafür!!! Den Platz hinter dem Pub können wir, ohne ihn ausprobiert zu haben, sehr empfehlen.

I booked a 1 night stay at the Shepherds Rest with my rooftop tent and had a great experience there. The staff were lovely and friendly, the pub was great and the toilets and shower were easily accessible and did the job. I would definitely book again if I were in the area I paid £22 for the pitch with no electricity as I didn't need it

Booked 2 months in advance only to find when I turned up they didn't have my booking on the nights requested & they were full; I had paid a deposit and email confirmation so they let me park in the top corner where it got very boggy but it was private. Toilet & shower were clean. Certainly not worth £22 non electric per night even if I was on a proper pitch. The lady who checked me in was lovely.
adventure3.012/05/2024Wir waren hier für eine Nacht mit dem Campervan. Die Stellplätze sind unebene Fahrrinnen, welche mit Pflastersteinen ausgelegt wurden. Die Toilette und Dusche (unisex) sind sehr, sehr (!) einfach gehalten. Die Dusche war nur oberflächlich geputzt und in einem schlechten Zustand. Preis/Leistung stimmt hier überhaupt nicht (25 Pounds/1 Nacht). 2 Sterne, weil die Betreiberin freundlich war.

Sehr kleiner aber gemütlicher Campingplatz mit Holzbänke und Holztische. Eine Toilette und eine Dusche in einem Holzhäuschen. Sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Hunde willkommen auch im Restaurant. Hatte den Campingplatz für mich alleine. Für meinen Camper, eine Person, ein Hund, incl. Strom habe ich 27 Pfund bezahlt.
