Wonderful spot with a fair gap away from the main road. Fairly quiet for a main road and I was there at 6pm. The roads going south from the spot are shocking with many dips and holes. The actual lay by has a few pot holes but I had it all to myself when I was there. No sign post for parking so keep your eyes open for it.

Arrived just in time for sunset, gorgeous view! Two bins and a park bench, was completely silent apart from one or two passing cars overnight but had a good nights sleep and no issues from others. Managed to find a fairly level spot against the greenery. Peterborough services 20 mins away with showers. Great signal all night on EE.

Came here as a pit stop on route to our final destination - was nice and easy stop. Didn’t find the road too loud.
Stopped here for a break. If you're coming from the Ramsey direction, beware of the road. There are some serious bumps in the road! Wonderful views, but very exposed.
I had a few trucks wanting to drive through the layby early in the morning. Make sure you give them enough space to pass, so they don't disturb you. The noise from the nearby train line could be a problem for some.
came here because of the sketchy reviews of the park ups in Peterborough. well worth the 15 minute drive. nice view over the fields in the morning. road noise starts up in the morning as expected and is quiet at night.
Back again! My second stopover , here, in 6 months. Good nights sleep( very little traffic from 2100 to 0630). Great. 360 degree views from here ,over the fens. Very exposed though in poor weather, with absolutely no shelter.
100% agree with Richard in comment below. We spent a very restful night here, can heartily recommend.
Decent lay by this. Set back from the road, flat in places, and good phone signal. Passing traffic virtually stops at 9 pm and starts again at 6 am. There were 2 vans parked up, but no lorries.
As reviewed by slowgiles, only thing I would add, is we were inundated with flying ants or something similar, so had to close the windows, etc, which wasn't good at 7pm - we were sweltering!! might have been a one off though- other than that, fantastic park up
Excellent location, not far back into town. Fairly level in places. caution when approaching from town. once you cross over the railway line, the road is very uneven for a section. There is a place just a bit past this where you can turn around so you are facing town in the lay-by.
perfectly good for a night. some noise from cars passing on the road but nothing major.
