Great place for a stop over. Parking is free. The ground is flat and sheltered from wind. There are no services. The cafe/bar is open 9 to 5. The staff are very friendly.

Schöner Platz für eine Nacht. Keine Ver- und Entsorgung. Wir haben die Übernachtung mit einer Besichtigung der Destellerie verbunden. Am nächsten Morgen in dem netten Café gefrühstückt. Über Nacht standen hier vier Wohnmobile. Hätte auch für sechs gepasst. Anmeldung nicht notwendig, aber empfehlenswert.

Lovely little spot in the café car park. Easy to book in advance. Had a wonderful mocha and some sweet treats. We would definitely come back.

Great quiet, flat spot. Lovely fire road that you can walk or ride along Loch Ericht. I think there is a bothy at the end. Doesn't charge for the night, but they do ask online if you can use their gorgeous cafe. Lots of options to chose from, lots including their great honey. Definitely recommend. Right next to Dalwhinnie distillery just off A9.

Super little Cafe. Great comprehensive (90%locally sourced) menu with breakfasts, pies, vegan options, lunch. Parking pretty flat, they also have loos in the cafe which opens l 9am - 5pm Clean and professionally run. I slept well until the neighbour started their vehicle at 5.30am and called someone on speakerphone, possibly unlucky, but just something to be aware of.

Maravilloso lugar, donde puedes dormir en la mayor de las tranquilidades, plano y en silencio. No hay servicios, únicamente se pide ser autosuficiente y desayunar al día siguiente, lo cual recomiendo encarecidamente, ya que la oferta y variedad de desayuno es abrumadora, y la calidad es increíble. El mejor desayuno de nuestras vacaciones. Un placer haber estado allí.

It's an amazing place to stop if you are in the area! the staff are absolutely amazing and we felt very welcome when we arrived! we arrived at closing, so we had breakfast the next morning, and it was delicious! please be respectful to this place and don't dump your grey water in their parking lot!

Fantastic little gem! Stopped off for lunch on our way to Inverness. Fantastic food, coffee and very dog and van friendly!

Brill wee spot for the night. Free (expectation that you buy food/ coffee). Were unable to book online (on the day) but called and the guy said we could park up. Went and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Great stop on the way home from Nc500

Great wee spot tucked away past the diner. Level, good signal, muddy area. Free to stay just called the night of to check if room. 5 other vans at night but only 1 other stayed til cafe opened. Cafe opens at 9:00am and diner opens earlier. Single Bathrooms are inside and clean. Coffee is great but same prices $4.95. Great area to have a quick walk.

An absolute gem of a find. Set back from the A9 so less road noise overnight. You can hear the slight rumble of the trains as they go past about 200 m away but even as a light sleeper they didn’t disturb me too much. The Apairy is a cosy welcoming establishment, the staff are very friendly, the food is good, the fire lit, what more could you want! Just phone ahead to book a place. 10/10.

If we could give this 6 stars we would! Car park very level, cafe is amazing, owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Dalwhinnie is a lovely wee village and this and the distillery is about it. Easy, flat walk to Loch Ericht if you like too. We will be back

Arrêt sous une pluie battante sans avoir réservé. Seulement 2 CC et une voiture sur le parking. Accueil chaleureux. Nous avons dîné copieusement pour 47 € à 2 (la cuisine ferme à 19H). Demain matin Dimanche le café-restaurant ouvre à 10H, nous serons partis avant.

Superb location, particularly if you wish to visit Dalwhinnie Whisky Distillery, as it is only a short walk away. The food is all locally sourced, freshly prepared, and delivered with a smile. The all day breakfast is perfect for after whisky tasting. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay hosts are so friendly we had a lovely time here nice walks with our dogs had a quiet nights sleep and a great breakfast all for less than £20 absolute bargain we will definitely be returning

Great food! Was going to stop for the night but changed our minds to be closer to the border. Walked to the distillery for a whisky and used the facilities before heading back on the road. Found one of the male staff members condescending to myself and others.

Stop over in late October 2023. Rang ahead to check availability. Small carpark but felt quite secure. Wonderful, warm welcome from the staff and breakfast was delicious. Dog friendly and lots of yummy cakes to take on your travels. The Apiary also sells a range of gifts too.

Booked an overnight stay on this site , the food was great and staff were very welcoming. Took the dog for a walk to Loch Ericht , would definitely recommend this place

Really nice food and welcoming staff. Rang ahead and asked if we could stay overnight. Called in and had lovely homemade soup and a sandwich. They also sell a range of spirits, beers and wines.

Perfekter Platz zur Zwischenübernachtung am Café. Leider war am nächsten Tag geschlossen, so dass wir dort nichts konsumieren konnten. Unmittelbare Nähe zur Distillery Dalwhinnie.

Emplacement gratuit et vite rempli avant 19h. Tres belle randonnée en partant du parking. Petit déjeuner à partir 17£ tres copieux. On recommande. Attention pas d’accès à l’eau ou à l’électricité

The Apiary propose son parking à titre gracieux contre consommation au café. Emplacement protégé du vent. Proche A9 et voie ferrée. Pratique mais un peu bruyant sans que cela soit excessif. En revanche petit déjeuner au top dans un endroit charmant. La propriétaire est adorable et les gâteaux à tomber! Nous recommandons au moins un stop pour petit déjeuner !

Lovely Café, friendly Staff on Fri and Sat they have a Dinner special, parking is nearly flat. Awesome Choice of Cakes and pastries as well. Definitely worth a stop!

Great place with good access to A9. Please book ahead on-line. On the night we stayed there was a total of six vans and we were the only van that had booked. Also it is only fair to spend something in the cafe, where the food was really good especially the range of cakes.

Sehr ruhige Nacht. Leckeres Frühstück. Extrem leckere Kuchenauswahl. Kurzer Fußweg zur Dalwhinnie Distillery. Parkplatz am besten online reservieren, es gibt nur fünf Stellplätze. Übernachtung kostenlos, Preise im Café sind recht hoch, aber es lohnt sich.

Wir standen für eine Nacht und hatten am Nachmittag tollen Kuchen und Bier zum mitnehmen und am Morgen ab 9.30 noch ein Frühstück. Der Platz ist eben und ruhig in der Nacht. Die Destillerie ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und das Café sehr gemütlich und einladend. Keine Toilette oder Wasser.

Mike ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Am besten man reserviert über die Website. Das Café ist m.E. nicht teuer. Wifi Code bekommt im Cafe. Es gibt schöne Hiking Trails, die aber mit Vorsicht zu genießen sind,denn die Landbesitzer schließen gerne Tore ab und man kann z.B. nicht einfach über eine Bahnlinie laufen... Von Newcastle auf dem Weg in dem Norden perfekter Zwischenstopp!

Freundliche Betreiber, Stellplatz für 5 WoMos auf Schotterplatz neben Haus kostenlos, aber angrenzendes Cafe dafür ziemlich teuer . Whisky- Destillerie in Laufnähe.

I can only confirm what other people stated: very warm and welcoming owners. We had a late lunch in the bakery, and a coffee in the morning. Also worthwhile: a visit to the Dalwhinie distillery. If you want to take a tour, book in advance. Tour costs 17£, for which one gets a tasting of 3 whiskey’s, a tasting glass and 10% discount in the shop.

Wir waren vom 30.09.-01.10.22 zur Zeit des Umbaus vor Ort. Sogar dann Zeit für super Cappuccino/Latte. Ein ruhiger Ort und ein toller Gastgeber. Wir freuen uns auf dieses Jahr!

Wir standen alleine in der Nacht. War schön ruhig und am nächsten Morgen gab es leckere Kuchen im Café. Am besten anrufen vorher oder online buchen!

Such a lovely stopover. The cafe is gorgeous and the owners & staff so friendly. Lovely little village to walk around. Felt really safe and was very quiet.

The staff were incredibly lovely, all of them. They welcome my dog and any other dog coming to visit. They told me that if you can book in advance a place would be helpful but it's free.

Der Parkplatz, welches zu einem Café gehört ist ein perfekter Ort zum Übernachten! Camper sind herzlich willkommen! Im Café kann man die Toilette benutzen. Ansonsten bekommt man im Café etwas zum Essen und zum Trinken, aber auch leckeres Gebäck. Das schottische Frühstück ist der Wahnsinn :-)
