It's not free, it's a paid parking till 8 pm. Very cheap 120 per day. The problem for us was that we didn't notice the sign (hidden behind a tree) and got clamped. The parking lot next to the supermarket is only for 120 minutes. So not the best for sleeping.
To avoid bothering the neighbours who use this street we slept just 2 mins drive away in the shop stop shopping mall parking. Video vigilance and very quiet at night, even on early morning. Anyway we totally recommend the Pallas restaurant placed in this street, very nice food and quiet cheap.
