(KY16 8LA) Saint Andrews - 7 Woodburn Place

A small gravel parking area. Very close to the beach and coastal walks. Very quiet at night.

no services but very close to all the things St Andrews has to offer. We have a 7m motorhome which we were lucky to find a space but we did arrive after 5 when most cars were leaving. Very good nights sleep felt safe would use again.

Ottimo per dormire, molto tranquillo. Alcuni camper parcheggiati ma non abbiamo visto nessuno altro. Vicino alla città, raggiungibile a piedi.

Beautiful quiet spot next to the ocean with public toilets open 10am-6pm and a water faucet outside available 24hrs.

haben hier eine sehr ruhige Nacht verbracht. perfekt um in die Stadt oder zum Strand zu gehen

This is quite a busy place for good reason. It's quite secluded but also near to public toilets (not open 24h though), playpark, beach and the interesting town centre. Please be respectful and considerate as this is one of the best locations for free overnight parking. I think the best time to arrive is in the evening when the cars have left.

Not possible to find a spot during the day. There were 10 other vans.

Best free park up we’ve stayed in. Quiet and secluded, felt safe. Toilets nearby (supposed to be open 10-7) but they were locked. There’s a tap on the side though. Short walk to leisure centre which allows showers for £4.

Parking idéalement situé et protégé du vent!

Endroit très bien pour visiter saint Andrews, proche de la plage et silencieux pour passer la nuit. Des toilettes sont disponibles au bord de mer (2min à pied du parking). Belle ballade en front de mer pour aller jusqu’à la cathédrale et le château. Aucune possibilité de vider les eaux grises ou noires. Manque un peu de propreté

Usually stay at the spot by the harbour but road resurfacing was going on. Came here and luckily got a spot, 6 other campervans and Motorhomes. Very close to the beach, play parkpublic toilets and the toastie shack. Short walk to the harbour.

Aire conviviale et sympa avec d’autres campeurs. Juste à côté de la plage et de toilettes.

Parking sympa proche de la mer et du centre ville. Calme la nuit. Toilette publique pas très loin.

There are no signs restricting overnight stays. Very quiet few other vans too. Close to toastie shack and beach.

This is acutally an overnight space. No restriction signs in sight. Quite spacy aswell. Wish I knew it earlier.

Despite earlier reports of No Overnight signs there are non. Stayed here many times. Flatter and more suited to larger vehicles than the nearby harbour parking. Don't stuff the bin with rubbish - the gulls empty it despite the cover - we get the blame.

Perfect free place to stay within easy walking distance of town and the beautiful East sands beach. Plenty of room when we arrived around 5pm on Saturday. Most spaces level. Cheesy Toasty Shack only yards away.

Aparcamiento gratuito a lado de la playa y cerca de la ciudad.Hemos dormido varias autocaravanas. Hay un parque a lado que viene muy bien si viajas con niños.

Nice wee pub just around the corner and a handy shop across the main road. please take your rubbish away as it attracts gulls if left in the bin.

Bit of a scruffy car park but its free with no current restrictions. we parked overnight with several other motorhomes and vans. A 7 meter moho could park here ok. very close to town and convienient. we then moved back to west beach at 8am for the day as no overnighting there, although saw a van that obviously had.

Two carparks in close proximity. The sea front is No overnight parking. The one behind the Sandwich Shack allows overnighters. Parking is free but busy. No issues staying overnight and was the only van there. Woke up early by the Seagull chorus but worth it for the proximity to the beach. Rubbish bin at end of carpark and public toilets nearby. Toasted sarnies are highly recommended.

Brillant place for this town, beach (East Sands) and Historic Harbour is only 5min away, cathedral or Market Street about 10min. Very calm and safe, somehow still secluded. Many thanks!

Stayed here for one night as had been moved on from West Sands, no issues at all. We were the only motorhome here so was quiet, good place to get your head down for the night as there's not really any other places to wild camp in St Andrews.

Great pitch, highly recommended.

Really noisy with teenagers playing loud music and seemed drunk until the early hours. Council talking about making it a pay machine car park and height barrier.

Quiet and protected night.

Stayed one night Jan 20 No hassle. Will be back. Close to town so easy to stay.

Buen sitio para aparcar y visitar la ciudad. Visitar la iglesia y castillo 13 Libras...

Great free spot for overnight and visiting the cathedral. Filled up quickly by 8am so best to arrive in the evening. Very quiet night. Toilet (closed at night) with drinking water tap located 100m away at playground. We found quite alot of rubbish and toilet paper so cleaned up what we could, another camper did the same. Keep it tidy!

Stayed 2 nights during June 2019. Moved during day but could have left van there. Quiet and easy walk to town. Both nights arrived later so was almost empty. Full during day with workers, who arrive fairly early.

Parquing muy cerca del centro y tranquilo para pasar la noche sin pagar. Hay una plaza para los niños delante del mar y siguiendo el camino al lado de la playa llegas a la catedral y al castillo.

Parfait pour passer la nuit, centre ville proche à pied. Nuit très calme, réveillés tôt par les mouettes et les personnes qui viennent se garer à 8h pour travailler.

There are some places much longer spaces at the start of the dunes that are big enough for coaches. These are opposite the Saint Andrews Links Clubhouse. There didn't appear to be any restrictions and we parked there for a few hours last weekend. Photo added.
