But our navigation (waze) send us through the most horrible, small and blocked streets on a steep hill, with people looking angry at us. I didn’t stay the night But passed by during the day on the way to the castle. There is a minaret and a police station nearby on the way to the castle. The paved car park is not levelled but the one little below on the left has got places that are levelled. Goats roaming daytime which adds to the exotic touch
there are 2 levels of parking. the one below is straighter, we parked there. yes, it is not cleaned, sometimes there can be dogs or people, but the view is amazing! the road is not very comfortable for a big or heavy car, but we drove through in our 7 meter one. there are places with narrow streets.
Wir haben hier den Tag über für einen Besuch in Izmir geparkt. Alles gut gegangen. Zur Innenstadt läuft man ca. 15 Minuten, zurück zum Parkplatz länger. Der Parkplatz liegt sehr erhöht, man muss also viel Steigung zurück gehen. Anfahrt teilweise durch enge Straßen, ich würde nicht mit einem zu großen Mobil anreisen.
The view is nice, but very weird neighbourhood. Just the drive there is an experience. I might not feel the safest around there!
Nous sommes restés ici une nuit sans avoir de problème. Mais des locaux nous ont bien dit que ce n’était pas un quartier sûr ici. Aussi faire très attention de quel côté vous arrivez, d’un côté ce sont de toutes petites ruelles en pente très très raide. Nombreux chiens errants mais comme partout dans Izmir
realy nice view over the city, some even places. But quite some cars coming and going in the night. And on top two guys first tried to steal our bikes and then said like "we will leave you alone if you give us 50 Euro". We just left. Maybe we were just unlucky, but i would not recommend to stay for the night. For the day and to enjoy a nice view over the city it is a nice place.
