À proximité de deux grands réservoirs/lacs anciens. Profitez de la splendeur rurale de l'Algarve Serra avec de nombreux sentiers de randonnée au cœur de la nature. C'est la retraite Talurdo.

Welcome to the mostly abandoned village of Talurdo. When the school closed in the 70's, everybody left. But now, it has come back to life!
Close to two major reservoirs/ancient lakes. Enjoy rural splendor in the Algarve Serra with plenty of hiking trails in the heart of nature. This is Talurdo Retreat.

What a beautiful place to stay. It’s great to enjoy the sauna and the Natural Pool after a good walk or cycling tour in the area. The dogs are good company and like to go with you on a walk. Thank you very much David and Chris for having us.
Having read the other reviews I thought I would give this place a go, it’s not a 5 star campsite , it’s hard gravel where you can park, it’s rustic, outdoor kitchen with a BBQ, shared outdoor toilet and shower, this place is back to basics but in a really good way, the clear sky and stars are unreal, we took our paddle board down to the lake, it was a peaceful paradise, bring food and water.
Great place to stay. Showers and toilets, kitchen area, tables and chairs, etc. all very clean. Beautifully maintained with outstanding views. Very quiet. Pitches generally level. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Came to stay in our car for one night, but decided to stay longer. Superior to anything else with 5 stars we have stayed at.
Bester Übernachtungsplatz, den wir in Portugal hatten. Die Außenküche und die Dusche unter freiem Himmem waren großartig. Wunderschöne Natur und absolute Ruhe. David war ein großartiger Gastgeber. Wir sind eine Nacht länger geblieben als geplant. Klare Empfehlung, wir würden wiederkommen!
Wauw, this place is sooo amazing and so lovely. It is in the middle of the mountains and you see the effort they put in the place and they did it with love and with care. The owners of the place are so kind and so friendly. It was one of the best stays! Thank you David and Chris. And thanks to all the cute dogs! We are definitely coming back!
This is a paradise in the middle of beautiful mountains. The owners are the best hosts we have had so far! Really friendly and a perfect balance in ‘checking in’ and ‘giving us some space’. The dogs are super friendly and willing to hike with you. The property offers many nice places to sit in the sun, shade or watch the stars at night. I highly recommend it!
Beautiful place and cute dogs but I wouldn't recommend doing activities here. We had a very bad horseriding experience and weren't feeling safe with the guide. In our opinion there wasn't enough care for safety and instructions. By making you fill in a form, the full responsibility for your safety is entirely left to you even though you don't get well informed about the horses and riding on them.
I had a wonderful stay at Talurdo resort. David and Chris are very kind hosts, the dogs are sweet and the facilities are great. The outdoor shower is a unique experience, the sauna is perfect with the natural water pond as a nice way to cool off. In the area you can walk/run/cycle (and wind down and relax of course). All in all its worth a visit!
What an amazing place to stay! A beautiful drive there, leading you to this oasis in the middle of nowhere. Best bits were cooling off in the natural pool, and a warm outdoor shower. David was a great host, accompanied by his 5 very friendly dogs. Wish we could have stayed for longer, and will definitely go back. Can not recommend enough- will be heading back asap. We stayed for 3 nights at Chris and David‘s amazing slice of paradise. We enjoyed all the different areas of the land. The ducks are awesome! It’s obvious that a lot of love has been put into the land and that it is still growing and evolving. We hope to come back! Thank you for having us.
Stayed longer because we liked it so much, beautiful garden and nice facilities, very friendly owner, great shower. We were alone at the parking, if it’s full, it might be a bit tight. The entrance was no problem with our 6m Van.

A beautiful art creation in nature. It's so calm and lovely there that we decided to stay an extra night. Decent asphalt road all the way to the 'town' and then only 75 meters of bad road to get there. Our campervan has the legal width limit of 2.8m and we got through the gate with at least 20cm on each side.
Wir haben die Atmosphäre und den schönen Platz total genossen! Yoga Plattform, Outdoor-Badezimmer, Naturschwimmteich, viele Sitzecken und eine Sauna die wir nutzen durften! Die Hunde begleiteten uns bei Spaziergängen und David & Chris sind so liebe Gastgeber! Vor der Weiterfahrt nahmen wir noch Honig aus dem kleinen Shop mit Produkten aus der Umgebung mit. DANKE für eure Gastfreundschaft :)
Sehr schöne abgelegene Gegend, aber mit 3 frei umherlaufenden Hunden nicht für kleine Kinder geeignet.
Gorgeous retreat surrounded by nature. Several chillout areas, place for bonfire, numerous places to do yoga, great hikes in the area and lovely owners. If it's tranquility you seek, this is the place. Will definitely be back!
Ein wundersamer Ort voller Ruhe und liebevollen Menschen. Es gibt einen kleinen Badeteich zum abkühlen, ein Yogadeck, Enten, Ziegen, Hunde und viele kleine chill-areas, um sich zurückzuziehen.
OK si votre véhicule n'est pas trop large et négociez bien votre virage à l'entrée pour ne pas frotter votre carrosserie avec les piliers en pierre du portail (vécu), si votre véhicule n'est pas trop long et n'avez pas besoin d'ouvrir les portes de votre fourgon, si vous n'avez pas besoin de vider votre K7, que vous n'avez pas d'animal, pas besoin d'un bon Wifi et aimer l'ambiance neo hippie.
Lugar calmo, no meio da serra. O terreno tem dois lagos, wc, várias zonas "chill out", muitos caminhos à volta para passear/caminhar, e são todos pessoas super amáveis. Estrada toda em asfalto até ao local. Liguem antes para os donos terem conhecimento que vão chegar
Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt dort. Die Besitzer sind total nett. Halfen uns auch dabei ein Paket zu empfangen. Der Hof ist super schön gemütlich, es gibt viele tolle Ecken zum relaxen. Schöne Wanderwege in der Umgebung, welche man mit den hofeigenen Hunden erkunden kann. Einen Besuch wert.
Such a magical place to relax! You can feel the calmness everywhere in this place. There is such an cosy atmosphere and the outdoor bathroom and kitchen are great! The hosts are two very lovely people and I felt safe throughout my whole stay. Beautiful nature around and lots of trails to explore. Had a great time here and would more then rocomand to stay!
Es werden keine Hunde akzeptiert, da vor Ort 4 eigene Hunde leben. Schade, wir mussten leider umkehren. sehr schöner Ort
Super cozy retreat with lovely owners. We stayed two nights and used the outdoor kitchen with the gas barbecue and could swim in the natural pool. At night the place is illuminated perfectly but not too intrusive so you can still enjoy the stars. In every corner of the retreat you find places to chill out.
Such a beautiful place! We had such a good time at the retreat. We felt completely safe there. There is an outdoor kitchen as well as a bathroom and an natural pool. The owners also habe four dogs which a super sweet and protect the property.
we felt very welcomed by Christopher. The place is very calm and surrounded by nature. lovely dogs and a full bathroom to use. 2 people and 1 van for 10€. The parking is without a view but the retreat is beautiful and has lots of spots to hang out. especially at night with all the detailed lightning. We would have loved to stay another night but had other plans.
The most beautiful place in the Algarve. David and Chris are wonderful people who worked hard to create a place with a special energy where everybody can come to rest. The hot outside shower felt like a blessing and swimming in the pond feels amazing at all times of the day. There is a big water reservoir close to the place where you can drive and have a whole lake for yourself. Loved the dogs!

What a wonderful place! They are making an amazing retreat with a natural swimming pond, a duck pond, sweet goats and dogs and some beautiful rental cabins. The entrance is a bit small so not suited for big campers. There's a toilet and shower (secluded but outside) and many hiking opportunities (we even took two of the dogs with us as guides). We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely be back someday.
Ein wirklich schöner Ort - der zum Teil noch im entstehen ist - in ein paar Jahren sicher ein Paradies! Am Morgen direkt am Berg neben dem Gelände einen wunderschönen, großen Hirsch gesehen. Sehr netter Besitzer, der die Anliegen seiner Gäste ernst nimmt und sich persönlich darum kümmert. Einziges Minus: wir waren mit Baby dort (dafür kann aber der Stellplatz nichts :-)) und hierfür sind die schattigen Plätzchen, Pool, Sitzmöglichkeiten zu weit weg vom parkenden Auto mit schlafendem Baby - aber in drei Jahren auch für den kleinen ein Traum!

Tulardo retreat is een hele speciale plek. Omringt door bergen, natuur en eindeloze wandelpaden. Weg van de bewoonde wereld. Deze plek is door David en Chris met heel veel liefde gecreëerd. Vanuit de buitendouche kijk je naar de sterren. Vanaf een van de vele zitjes kijk je naar de natuur en luister je naar de vogels. Geen ontvangst, wel kun je even op de WiFi bij het huis. Een aanrader.

Well worth going off the beaten track to find this amazing place. Wonderful hosts, idyllic garden, very well-behaved (and quiet!) dogs, great hiking and cycling for as far as you want to go. Like us, you will stay longer than intended and plan to return again sometime. Thank you.
Sehr unterhaltsame Gastgeber und großartige Außenbereiche mit warmer Outdoor-Dusche und -Küche. Ideal, um die Serra kennenzulernen und den Strand für ein paar Tage gegen Wald, Hügel und Ruhe einzutauschen. Top Natur-Pool!
Tarludo is a great place to stay. First we wanted one night then we stayed 4. David and Christopher are wonderful hosts. They created a little paradise with a natural swimming pool, outdoor shower and a beautiful garden. It is a perfect place for relaxing, walking in nature and cycling to the reservoir.
