(K36) Kilcrea - Unnamed Road

Wij hadden een hele rustige nacht. Om 11u en 2u in de avond kwam er een auto langs maar keerde gelijk weer om. Geen onveilig gevoel. Lokale mensen zeiden ook dat het prima was als we hier zouden slapen. Met onze 7m lange camper lukte het ons zelfs prima om te draaien, gewoon geduldig zijn

Be careful before going down the lane along the water. There are two places to park. One is right when you get to the water. There’s space to turn around there. The other is further out at the end of the lane that goes along the water. It’s a really narrow lane right on the edge of the water and there is no space to turn around there for a van >5m. You’ll have to reverse all the way back out.

Women be cautious. Arrived shortly after dark and drove to the end of the road in our campervan. After a couple of hours we determined it was a dangerous spot especially for women traveling on their own. It’s secluded, no way out except the narrow road, and we had a very intense feeling of being watched. We left immediately and found a more public spot a a few miles away at a beach.

Precioso lugar. Sin embargo, tuvimos que irnos después de haber anochecido porque había varios coches de jóvenes que habían ido a fumar porros. No nos molestaron pero al final se hacía incómodo estar ahí y preferimos cambiar de lugar

Ist ok, halt nur sehr bevölkert von männlichen Jugendlichen in Autos. Ein Van Parkt dort mit einer Reifenpanne wohl schon seit längerem.

Very quiet spot overlooking the water. We managed to turn a 6m Campervan in the space with no issues.

Brilliant site. Not as difficult to manoeuvre as others have mentioned here. We have a quite a small camper but did have a Sprinter LWB before and would have managed it fine. Quiet, peaceful and lovely views. No height barrier.

Toller platz direkt am wasser. wir waren dort mit einem camper van 8m x 3m und es ging gut. ich musste nur rückwärts rausfahren bis zur abbiegung und dann konnte ich wenden. klappt wunderbar. für eine nacht sehr gut geeignet, mehr auch nicht, es gibt dort nichts großartiges.

Très calme, vue sur le bras de mer avec Dublin en toile de fond. Parfait avec un van Transporter. Aucun service Belle, juste un endroit où se garer. Belle trouvaille

Lovely park up that is no more that 15mins to the airport which is perfect for early or late flights. Lovely view across the water. Only downside is the tight manoeuvring if you’re a big vehicle. We have an XLWB van so it was tricky, we only managed it because there were two of us which meant one of us could be outside guiding the driver. I’d recommend reversing down if possible. We’d stay again.

Schöner Ort zum stehen, etwas abschüssig, mit Blick aufs Wasser. Nur für kleinere Wohnmobile geeignet.

Strada a fondo cieco, ma sufficientemente larga da poter fare inversione con camper di 7m, posto tranquillo in settimana proprio a ridosso dell’acqua.

I don’t understand comments sometimes. This place is gorgeous and peaceful. Very convenient and safe. No services of course.

Great place, lots of windsurfers. Nice spot for chilling.

Who writes these reviews? Nowhere whatsoever to park, bleeding ridiculous and waste of mileage! And needed to reverse half a mile back down road!

Lovely spot but I would not want to try to turn anything longer than 6m at the end of the road.

Perfect spot for the night in our 6m Motorhome. Parked next to the estuary with great views and sunset, very peaceful. Would certainly use again.

Nice spot, out of the way (end of single track road), great views across the estuary. You can hear the waves lapping gently. A little uneven, parked here in our 6.7m long van with 2 smaller vans (Thu night). Not for light sleepers though, lots of planes overhead and quite a windy spot. People out windsurfing this morning in the wind and rain
