Nice quiet little spot. Not a bad view of the lake. car park In front of you for the railway but currently closed.
Emplacement au bord de l'eau parking calme. pas de panneaux indiquant pas de parking ou de barrière de nuit. belle pelouse près de l'eau. moins de 5 minutes à pied de la ville.

Ubicación al borde del agua, estacionamiento tranquilo. No hay letreros que indiquen que no hay estacionamiento ni barrera por la noche. bonito césped cerca del agua. a menos de 5 minutos a pie del pueblo.

Ligging aan de rand van het water, rustig parkeren. geen borden die aangeven dat er 's nachts geen parkeerplaats of slagboom is. mooi grasveld aan het water. minder dan 5 minuten lopen naar de stad.

Parked up here just for one night. Very peaceful & wasn’t disturbed at all. Very pretty view of the water……..I didn’t explore the area unfortunately due to the horrendous weather, but it looks worth a wonder if you’re here.

HayleyandWayne03/08/2025Motorhome / van parking to the side of the main carpark, very quiet and peaceful. The main car park is split in 2 one side height restricted and the other is no overnight. couple of minutes walk to the town centre.

I stopped here for 2 nights in my car. There is a large carparkpark near and on a evening the odd boy racer. But apart from that, pretty peaceful. Lovely scenery and few minutes walk into the town.

Spent an OK night just on our way through the area. We are in a small camper, not suitable for large motor homes. Got a bit noisy early in the morning because the road sweepers are housed in the building just over the fence so you hear them come and go.

brilliant space. parked over night. lovely view of the lake, review said noise was bad but It's been quiet. train has gone past about 3 times all day. lovely park for dogs and walkers. kids played on the grass no issues. used the bin in the park about 15 steps away. would reccomended

confusing to find. came off high street, all the way through the pay car park (hight restricted), next right once out. On left: the 1st is for the narrow gauge railway, next left 1 is not labelled. After that, there's 1 straightahead over the narrow gauge rail line (see 1st photo) stunning views by the water, with grassy area. I stopped to cook on picnic tables 100m away, but didn't stay night

Hi stopped here last night not the best park up next to the railway car park you just park outside but noisy until about 11 pm then quiet had a good sleep

We were referred here by a local. There’s 2 car parks, both of which you have to pay and one with a 2m height barrier. However there’s free parking all around the exterior of the car park - mostly not suitable for large vehicles but definitely if you park near the train tracks. We stayed here 3 nights with zero complaints. Some boy racers in the night but otherwise excellent spot.

avoid at all cost, I stayed here for 1 night, we went out shopping, came back and our tyres had been deflated with a note saying that next time you'll need a tyre repair centre locals I expect, not happy with people parking here.

Good location for campers. We stayed the night and was perfect, quiet and enclosed. There was plenty of space for multiple campers/vans. Would recommend.
