Fabulous park up, sadly no toilet emptying, or grey water disposal, but drinking water and electric were all I needed, a wonderful little town, a good co op, a fantastic bakery Paul Jones. and an amazing butchers. Hall & Sons. lots of places to eat.
Bel endroit!
Right next to Swimming pool and they've created 5 hard pitches, pretty level and spaceous. They also run the local caravan park. Available all main services (drink water, empty waste - grey and chemical). Payment at pool reception, or mobile number out of hours. Great place!
Guter Platz!

£15 with electric for me was perfect as after using no campsites I finally needed to charge my leisure battery and fill up my water tank, The waste services are out of order and this maybe a concern if you are travelling here to utilise this service. Very peaceful area and a lovely walk into the historic town. I enjoyed my day/night and If needed would visit again
We had a lovely drive to this park up but on arrival black waste out of order, water not easily accessible…pleasant views but we didn’t stay because of the lack services. Also beware of route in - the sat nav took us via a weak bridge (we had to detour to avoid it)
£15 till 11am the following day. Pay in the swimming pool, can be by card. 5 spaces with electric (2 round the corner to the 3 on the front). Waste and toilet emptying unavailable, only water filling. 10 minutes walk into the town. 3 stars as price still same eventhough can’t empty
Great spot, short walk into village and harbour. very friendly.
price has gone to £12, still no elson point. you have to go to their caravan site and pay £5 to empty cassette.
A huge thanks to the community for providing this Aire, which gives you a chance to top up and EHU overnight for £10. then Black waste available (£5) at Silvercraigs site just the other side of the village. The swimming pool is a community charity so please support them however you can, and let's keep this place going
thank you for providing this area Good spot for visiting town waste disposal out of action at present but you can use nearby campsite
very good value, lovely area, short walk into town along the coast. nice staff in the swimming pool. only downside was for a brief time at 9 at night a chimney by the park ups was billowing smoke into our campervan. would definitely go again!
Update for end of May 2025: no black water disposal due to “ongoing maintenance”. Grey water disposal is not available. Blue water refill is available. EHU, no issues. Cost has been reduced to £10 per night. Feels neglected and needs support. Very different to a couple of years ago. I worry this aire will be closed on grounds of cost.
Great stopover with short walk into town, elec hook up but grey waste not working when we were here but they've reduced the price to £10 ' money goes to support the community swimming pool which is great
Gosh I wish there were more aires like this in the uk! We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday only one other van on site. The swimming pool was closed (3pm) but luckily we caught a guy who came in to read the meters so we were able to pay and get the necessary codes. If, like me, you have a water loving dog then beware. Ours jumped into the mud by the river, you can guess the rest. Lovely quiet spot.
Great wee stopover place. paid at swimming pool simply and efficiently. shirt walk into town. supports a local community keep their pool open so worth the £15. toilets and showers when pool is open.
closed for Xmas re opens 6 January
Here between Xmas and NY. Pool closed and consequently they have blocked off the parking spaces They will be closed off until the pool reopens. There are a few other parking spots around, but useful to know that these are not actually available all year round.
Really hand spot. Close to walk into town and such a quiet location (it’s October). Absolutely silent last night. Felt very safe and well lit around area. Great for walking dogs and lots of grass for children to play.
Quiet spot easy walking into town.Good to support local community with the charge of 15.00 for hook up.
Excellent, well-kept spaces by the swimming pool. All facilities available, including showers in the pool building. Easy walk into Kirkcudbright which is a lovely wee town with loads of art shops and a range of eating places.
excellent stop over place. 3 bays with electric and grey water point. couldn't see any drinking water. pay at the swimming complex nearby. amazing place to visit- it's clean and quiet and a great wee 'ye olde harbour' type area. a few folks at the state park and a couple of cars with the usual 'young un's' but honestly, no issue.
Dusche kostet pp 2£ extra. Ruhiger und ebener Platz direkt beim Freizeitpark.
Stayed here overnight twice in the last 2 weeks. Level pitches with EHU and waste disposal for £15 (which supports the community swimming pool). Lots of friendly locals pass by walking dogs and coming to nearby skateboard park. All were willing to have a chat and seemed happy to see us there. Handy location to stroll into the town past the castle. Nice shops, galleries and cafes to wander around.
Pleased to be able to overnight here. An ideal spot for Motorhomes. For £15 there is black and grey emptying and water and electricity. Toilet available when pool is open and showers available for a small extra fee. And the local community benefits from the profits. A great facility - thank you.
Great overnight or 2 with good walks shops marina also could have a swim in the local pool. All the key services Moho needs. Her for the weekend and will be back. ❤️
Fantastic amenity, all services working well and a great stopover. It is opposite a small skatepark and we were told that recently there had been reports of electrical cables being pulled out (by way of a practical joke?) but we had absolutely no problems on a rather cold Friday night. And there's a hose there now:)
Hose is no longer there so you aren't able to fill water without your own container/hose. £15 p/n or £10 for service but with no hose that's a bit steep if just dumping waste water/toilet. Ramps good if you have kids, can be noisy at times so be aware. Supposed to leave by 11am so everyone gets a fair shot but lots of ignorant Motorhomes/Campers stay for few days spoiling it for the honest ones.
Had everything needed for a self contained unit, quite spot, not much passing vehicles, just a few cars parking in swimming pool car park behind, town walkable distance, paid in pool, open till around 8pm.
5 or 6 good flat spots for MH's. A short walk into the quaint, arty town for supplies. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the office at the pool was closed and didn't open until 12pm Monday, so we posted our payment through their door. Subsequently, we weren't able to get the code for the box to fill up with water, so something to be aware of if you're arriving at the weekend.
Great spot with all services. £15 now 5 spaces and the village is where the Wicker man was filmed. Couldn’t see Britt Ekland though!
This is a must if you're in the area £15 for park up, (there are electric hook ups) and use of all the facilities - pool, showers, gym and Sauna and staff are lovely.
They’re only allowed 3 vans in the area. Price for overnight and services is still £15. It all goes to the upkeep of the swimming pool. It’s a lovely spot, not far from the town, quiet at night. Disappointing that someone parked in a space overnight didn’t need facilities which prevented another motorhome from parking. The notice states if you don’t require a hook up to park somewhere else!
Had a quiet night here. Hard standing, nice view to the river the town is very near by. £15 for one night, grey waste, fresh water and EHU included. You can shower at the swimming pool £2. It’s extra to dump your toilet waste £4!!
Confirm all previous comment and update the info of the site. Great conditions on a very good location
Chatted with a fellow MOHome owner in town, who advised us the swimming pool stop was open and had EHU for 5 units, water and black waste. Glad we took the advice. Great stop, quiet, hard standing and plenty of park space for dog walking. £15 per night pay at swimming pool reception - pay by card. If not during opening times - money in an envelope posted through the door.
There are no longer any services at this parkup
closed down, no water or electric.
Fantastic! Water, electric and waste disposal all for £10 a night. Now has 5 spaces. Extending those to fill up water. They seem to have thought of everything. Next to swimming pool which has a cafe. Short walk from town. Views of park and river. Couldn't be better
Amazing spot. Space for 4 vans. £10 for the night, easy walk into Kirkcudbright. Stayed 12/9/22, was full by 2pm.
Alles vorhanden
Excellent little spot run by the local council, has waste facilities, EHU, water, £10 payable at the local swimming pool next door. Skate park and large grass park area opposite. Just down from the marina and town. Would recommend.
Great spot well worth the £10 overnight charge which includes EHU, WC & Grey waste dump & water top up! Great place for dogs big open recreation area, Riverside walks, 5 minutes walk to town centre & the added bonus of being right next too Kirkcudbright swimming pool where you can have a swim & a private hot shower for £4.50!
Many thanks to the Kirkcudbright community for providing this excellent aire. We stayed one night on the aire for £10 including electricity. We then moved along to a free spot close by and used the aire services for £4 the morning after. The community run swimming pool is ace too and Kirkcudbright is a really good town to visit. The Masonic Arms is a great pub.
Excellent little Aire run by local community for charity. Nice and handy for castle, marina and town centre.
Great little aire in convenient location to visit the town. Excellent value for money.
A great small overnight stop. first come base. £10 for the overnight stop and £4 for tops ups and waste clean. well worth the money.
Great aire. only 3 spots but can empty grey waste, elsan point and fresh water for £4. well worth it. a great place easy 5 minute walk into town
Good spot but a lot of pedestrians passing and having a right nosey to see what this new facility was all about and what we were having to eat. One issue concerns me is the wood fired boiler for swimming pool and it right by the parking so with top vent open you get wood fumes. nice smell but it starts to irritate after a while. That said good place and could have score 5 not for the fumes
Good wee spot skate park for kids and swimming pool basic parking buy at £10 grat value never stayed overnight but only a short walk from town
Great stop with hook up. paid via envelope in the post box. near a kids park but no issues.
Elson point hook up £10 a night leave money at swimming pool £2 shower overlooks marina no bkg needed
Kirkcudbright Nice place to stop overlooks marina next to swimming pool where a shower costs £2 for those without own van shower, John Paul’s bakery in the town delicious and very reasonably priced, steak pies amazing !!
