Beautiful spot littered with toilet paper. Disgusting. Do better, people.
Large espace herbeux au bord de la route 939 . Belle vue sur le fjord. La route est à proximité mais peu bruyante. Le talus de bord de route est assez saillant, accès difficile pour les véhicules longs et surbaissé.
Large grassy area by the side of route 939. Beautiful view of the fjord. The road is nearby but not very noisy. The roadside embankment is quite prominent, difficult to access for long and low vehicles.
Große Rasenfläche neben der Route 939. Schöne Aussicht auf den Fjord. Die Straße ist in der Nähe, aber nicht sehr laut. Die Böschung am Straßenrand ist ziemlich prominent und für lange und niedrige Fahrzeuge schwer zugänglich.
Amplia zona de césped junto a la ruta 939. Hermosa vista del fiordo. La carretera está cerca pero no es muy ruidosa. El terraplén de la carretera es bastante prominente, de difícil acceso para vehículos largos y bajos.

I would strongly advise against driving-parking on grassland and this is the reason Iceland actually prohibits all wild camping. If you must, use one of the other flat areas beside the road that are gravel, there are a few of them for one or 2 campers all the way up to the pass. We used the designated parking place at Foladafoss, as there was no specific prohibition against overnighting.
