Parked up for one night in jan. Good enough for a quick stop over. Enough space for a few vehicles. Peaceful night.
Grande aire de stationnement bien éloignée de la route. Nous avons visité Corbridge et Hexham et avons eu du mal à trouver un endroit pour la nuit. Le meilleur endroit que nous ayons trouvé. Espace pour 6 fourgons, pas de services juste un bac. Aucune signalisation d'aucune sorte interdisant les nuitées.
Large parking layby area well away from the road. We have been visiting Corbridge and Hexham and struggled to find an overnight spot. Best spot we found. Space for 6 vans, no services just a bin. No signage of any description prohibiting overnight stays.
Großer Parkplatz abseits der Straße. Wir haben Corbridge und Hexham besucht und hatten Mühe, einen Übernachtungsplatz zu finden. Der beste Ort, den wir gefunden haben. Platz für 6 Vans, kein Service nur ein Mülleimer. Keine Beschilderung jeglicher Beschreibung, die Übernachtungen verbietet.
Amplia zona de aparcamiento alejada de la carretera. Visitamos Corbridge y Hexham y luchamos por encontrar un lugar para pasar la noche. El mejor lugar que hemos encontrado. Espacio para 6 camionetas, sin servicios solo un contenedor. No hay señalización de ningún tipo que prohíba las pernoctaciones.

kimikiya29/07/2025Es un aparcamiento al lado de una carretera, desconozco si con mucho tráfico nocturno. Fuimos allí por el comentario anterior, que era el mejor sitio en que había estado. Nos fuimos allí aparcamiento de Vindolandia. Aunque caben varias autocaravanas/camper, no hay paso si otra quiere pasar mientras estás aparcado. Sin vistas ni nada parecido.

Large layby just off the main road, which is pretty quiet really. We were the only ones here. No signage to say overnight parking is prohibited. We woke up to a pretty sunrise! Absolutely fine for an overnight stay.

Quiet lay-by, not much passing traffic for a Friday night. Enough space away from the main road to not worry about the dog and he had plenty of space in the woods behind. Great cafe open Apr - Oct down the road for supplies.

Stayed here one night, lay by is set back from the road. Quiet overnight from 9 pm - 7 am. Occasional vehicles coming around the curve in the road shine their headlights at you, but if you have curtains, it’s not a problem. Trash bin was full and there was scattered litter all along the area. :-(
Irriot04/08/2023Nice quiet off the main road lay-by with a bin. It was raining heavily when we stayed overnight a couple of weeks ago and was a bit muddy but great place to have a break and sleep.

Little bit down the road there is a farm called greencarts farm £10 per person toilets show water and bins amazing views. Why risk a lay by when this is few min down the road. It is on this app too.

stayed here boxing day night after being unable to stay at Kielder due to closed barriers. Quite a busy road but lay-by well off road and pretty quiet at night. no problems, not prettiest of places, wood looks a bit grotty but OK for an impromptu stopover.

Wouldn't advise this site to anyone, was disturbed from early on in night and ended up having to move. Even in a pinch this site is not advisable.
