Incredibly scenic area with the convenience of public toilet. Don't forget to look up at the Milky Way if you get a clear night!
Grand parc niché avec de superbes vues sur l'arrière du mur du barrage et la colline tout autour. Non visible de la route. Il n'y a pas d'installations ni d'Internet mais un endroit idéal si vous voulez vous éloigner de tout. Il n'est pas abrité et haut, donc je ne le recommanderais pas par temps venteux. Il y a de la place pour au moins 4 campeurs. Il y avait des travaux en cours sur le barrage quand nous y étions mais assez après 18h. C'est à environ un mile en haut de la colline après le parking RSPB sur la gauche. Cherchez le triangle d'herbe et tournez à gauche.
Great tucked away park up with great views of the back side of the dam wall and hill all around. Not visible from the road. There are no facilities or Internet but a great spot if you want an away from it all area. It is not sheltered and high so wouldn't recommend in windy weather. There is room for at least 4 campers. There was work being done on the dam when we were there but quite after 6pm. Its about a mile up the hill past the RSPB carpark on the left. Look for the triangle of grass and turn left.

Es gibt keine Dienstleistungen oder Internet, aber ein großartiger Ort, wenn Sie etwas abseits von allem suchen möchten. Es ist nicht geschützt und hoch, daher bei windigem Wetter nicht zu empfehlen. Es gibt Platz für mindestens 4 Wohnmobile. Als wir dort waren, wurde am Damm gearbeitet, aber schon nach 18 Uhr. Es ist ungefähr eine Meile den Hügel hinauf, vorbei am RSPB-Parkplatz auf der linken Seite. Suchen Sie nach dem Grasdreieck und biegen Sie links ab.

louisejane1006/05/2024A fabulous spot at this impressive dam. 25 minutes of mostly passable lanes to reach it from the main road. No internet and toilets out of order. Very peaceful night. Saw lots of swallows. It is a dark sky site. Good circular walk at RSPB site close by.

Lovely spot. We thought we'd hide away here for New Year's Eve as our dog hates them. 3 separate areas you could use. 1 was a little muddy but with the amount of rain we've had its not surprising. Unfortunately there were fireworks from the next car park up. Had a lovely walk around part of the dam on New Year's Day. Toilets and bins available up the road. No 3G/4G here.

Lovely park up. Up the hill you have the free reservoir car park with toilets, picnic area and excellent view and further down you have the RSPB car park with donation box, picnic area, nice walk and caves. Would definitely recommend staying at this one and visiting the other spots as this spot is very quiet compared to the others.

Great spot. No one else here when we stayed, couple of dog walkers and bikers in the mornjng but great nights sleep- a little windy but we chose upper level for views. A bit further on up the road a good spot also, next to toilets and another stunning view. Would advise a paper map or screen shot your maps though as zero signal up here.

Go on a little and turn left to the car park by the dam overlooking the reservoir, plenty of room to park with a toilet.
bablas19/05/2022Stayed here overnight. There was already one motorhome parked on the lower level so we parked up on the slightly higher up bit. Pretty level. Plenty of room for more. Lovely and quiet. A bench to sit on to soak up the sunshine and the view.
