Nice place, road here is open even during winter. I was here on a Saturday. Really quiet until 5am on Sunday when fishermen started to arrive. My plan was to photograph the stars but Kuopio city lights and the forest are in the way to north. Only to South is decent for star gazing.
cale32716/09/2024Übernachten ist erlaubt. In Finnland fällt das Übernachten im Camper unter das Jedermannsrecht. Ob man das nutzt wenn der Platz stark besucht ist muss jeder selber entscheiden. Die Finnen nutzen das Recht auch selber in anderen Ländern, wer finnische Wildcamper sehen will muss einfach mal die E8 nach Norwegen fahren. Insofern sollte man sich auch nicht von diesem Platz verscheuchen lassen.
heiriieli31/07/2024Gravel road for about 6 kilometers so not the best when arriving at night and kids sleep. Night was quite, few people came back from the lake but were quite. In the morning we all woke up to someone waking us up on purpose by honking the horn and driving circles around us. So possible someone lived close by and doesnt like people staying there for a night. We wont go back

Little bit of false information here. In Finland, there is no free camping areas, just free parking areas.

Nice quiet place with a lovely beach and view to the lake. Worth of driving few miles away from the main road.

We loved the place, nice beach to swim, peace and quiet during the night and we were there alone. Next day after noon there came some people to their boats and to swim. Dry toilet and room for few cars.

FranziW.23/07/2021Wir haben mit einem Anwohner gesprochen, der Platz ist kein Campingplatz sondern ein Startpunkt für Angeltouren. Camper sind dort wohl nicht gerne gesehen, da der Platz zum Rangieren benötigt wird. Wir sind dort nicht über Nacht geblieben.
