Stayed here on 15/11/25 a great spot for nearby Hebden Bridge with views of the surrounding countryside, there are bins but no other facilities so you need to be self contained, would definitely stop again.

  • 5/5

Stayed here weekend of the 23/08/25 brilliant site. To and from Hebden Bridge on the bus easy to use. Highly recommend this site and the area

  • 5/5

Great place. peace and quiet. the farmer is an absolute gem, really nice genuine guy. lovely place will return definitely. thankyou.

  • 5/5

Great place with amazing views and a very friendly owner, entrance gate a bit tight but nice pitches Got my 8mtr moho in easily enough ..

  • 5/5

Farmer mows out pitches into his field. There’s fresh water and bins. Bus to Hebden Bridge just outside. 2 minute walk to village. Very quiet and peaceful. Spectacular views. 5g. Site is best approached from Lee Wood Road and Smithwell Lane, not through the village.

  • 5/5

The owner is a really nice man, no silly rules, just wants everyone to have a good time. He explained to us about local pubs shops and walks. Would definitely recommend

  • 5/5

We came back to Heptonstall again over Easter weekend. There is a now portaloo in the field! We again had to leave £10 with a fellow camper as we had to leave early. Hopefully it will be given to the farmer- we had the same issue last year. A suggestion for the farmer (if he reads these reviews) would be to have an honesty box located near the field entrance! Hope you’re receiving our money haha

  • 4/5

nice spot not for anything over 8m

  • 5/5

Our favourite. You do need onboard facilities though so be warned. Fresh water available but that’s it, just as we like it. No silly rules completely relaxing. Can’t fault if you want peace and quiet.. The 1* review unfair below. See entrance next to gate with ‘campsite’ sign! No public access is clearly for benefit of campers - doh! Your loss is all I can say or re read the details provided??

  • 5/5

The farmer is very friendly and lets you know of the local area and local places to walk and eat. The sunset was perfect as seen in the picture. £10 and water on site. obviously it's more of an off-grid place but we will be back. You will see a big sign in the gate saying Campsite and you let yourself in and pitch up.

  • 1/5

Strange. Not at all sure what happened. I saw the sign saying Campsite, went up a gravel road, came to a gate with a sign No Public Access. Through the gate, there were about 10 places where one could park, but no information about how to pay, or indeed if the place was a campsite or not. So I left....

  • 5/5

Great little stopover. don't take the turn off left through the village, it's only a couple of mins further going past and round and avoids the cobbles and intrusion on the village. Great views, friendly guy and a good price!

  • 5/5

Fab place, our favourite, seems to be others too now as much busier unsurprisingly. if you need to contact farmer but not necessary as just park up they'll call by for payment. Short stroll to village with 2 pubs, 2 churches, one with graves of Sylvia Plath & David Hartley, longest serving Methodist Church (hexagonal) closed for renovation ATM. Many walks, bus to Hebden Bridge.

  • 5/5

Fabulous views of the hills and surrounding countryside. Great location for walking and mountain biking. Good access and a very pleasant host and all for £7.50.

  • 5/5

Stayed for one night over Easter weekend. This is our favourite spot! The field is usually quiet and is located just outside of picturesque Heptonstall. Walking into Hebden Bridge is also easy (though very hilly so make sure you have a couple of pints before heading back to the campsite!). We didn’t see the farmer so left money with another camper. Fresh water available.

  • 1/5

Geschlossen und keine Info. Sieht etwas schäbig aus…

  • 5/5

Great location, close to 2 pubs, cafe and small village shop. Friendly farmer came round to collect £7.50. Heptonstall is a gorgeous village with friendly locals. We’ll be coming back.

  • 5/5

superb location, close to 2 good pubs and a cafe and shop. no toilets but drinking water available. very friendly owner and villagers. wonderful views and very peaceful. tip from the owner- this is on pitch for night and is more expensive so phone and book instead. cash paid on arrival.

  • 5/5

Great location next to the village, lovely views and a short walk down the hill to the gorgeous Hebden Bridge. The site owner is very helpful, brought us some outside matts as it was very wet. It’s £7.50 per night, it’s grass pitches the only service is fresh water tap.

  • 5/5

Fabulous find! Came here from the comments on this app and what a beautiful spot! Just drive in and park up, the friendly farmer owner will find you to take payment. £7.50 for the van fir the night. Peaceful and level. Great nights sleep. 2 pubs in village and a 30 minute walk down to Hebden village. Very steep walk!

  • 5/5

Great park up - only site I have seen on here with 5/5 in all reviews says it all total gem massive thanks to owner for keeping it simple and cheep - so cheep - from last nights £22-50 have change for some food and a pint !

  • 5/5

I absolutely loved this spot! we are still new to car camping and after spending a fortune for camp sites where we can feel safe, whilst getting used to camping this spot caught my eye. absolutely incredible views and just £7.50 for 2 of us! the owner is lovely also, note: when you find the site just go in, find your spit, the owner at some point will find you and then you can pay. :)

  • 5/5

Lovely flat field, super quiet and friendly farmer! Beautiful village and then a 25 min walk to Hebden bridge! (The water tap is on the shipping container)

  • 5/5

Lovely peaceful spot with surrounding views of countryside. short 5 minute walk into Heptonstall were there are 2 local pubs which also serve food and at £7.50 for night for pitching up with water available and peace and quiet brilliant spot

  • 5/5

We had the most wonderful night in Heptonstall. Wonderful local history and walk around the church and village. Had a great pint at the local with the most welcoming staff. Only three M/H on the field and owner collected £7.50 rent. Amazing sunset/rise. Thank you so much, see you again. Avoid the cobbled road ( satnav says left! follow the road around... you'll know!) xx

  • 5/5

We had a very pleasant stopover. The only one on the field apart from the two residential horses. Short walk into the very pretty village. Good beers in both pubs, great cakes in the Tea shop. Definitely going back

  • 5/5

Closed December 4th 2022 due to mud on the bit of a hill getting up very nice place to visit owner very flexible

  • 5/5

Views outstanding feel in the middle of nowhere, yet just outside the village and a bus ride away from Hebdon Bridge. Ring ahead or take pot luck, there is a good amount of space. Field starting to get a bit muddy now, but no access issues for us. Best to approach via Lee Wood Road and Draper Lane so that you don't have to negotiate the cobbled, narrow lane in the village.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot for a night, or several if you’re self contained. Water available. The owner comes around in the morning to collect the £5… yes, £5! Bargain! Walk down the hill into a gorgeous cobble stone village with pubs, tea room (the best cheesecake !) a small shop/post office and some other interesting looking places. Ideal base for exploring this area and the people are so friendly.

  • 5/5

Fabulous place to stop over for the night. The village is just amazing. It’s a village the modern world has left behind. Definitely worth a visit xx

  • 5/5

What a stunning location to park at. Spectacular views, off grid peaceful. 2 great pubs, a cafe, little shop. Historical village and cobbled street. If you like the hustle and bustle this is not for you. If you like hills and countryside, this is perfect! Owners very helpful and promote their village facilities.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot for a quiet night. Large field with flat areas. Short walk into the interesting village of Heptonstall and walks in surrounding area.

  • 5/5

Lovely place with great views and pub just down road. Steve was very welcoming and his brother gave us loads of info. Stayed on for 2 nights as really quiet and relaxing. local church ruins interesting. Well worth the £5 per night. Barbara

  • 5/5

Great little spot with stunning views. couple of pubs 200 yards away and a 20 minute walk down to hebden bridge. the hill is very steep so we got a taxi back up. Steve the owner was lovely, we only spoke on the phone and he told us to leave without paying as they hadn't managed to get up. we could not do that so left the money with another camper. Will definitely be returning and for £5 a night

  • 5/5

super little spot. unspoilt views over the hills. pretty flat field very short walk down the hill to the village. super quiet only two other campers here when I stopped. I've given five stars because whilst it doesnt have any facilities so you need to be fully self contained for power and toilet facilities. But at £5 per night its worth every penny. Some of the roads leading here can be 'fun!!'

  • 5/5

very convenient spot for Heptonstall. Great views . Owner really helpful and nice. perfect.

  • 5/5

Lovely site, no services, just an open field with fabulous views. Heptonstall is beautiful and great to walk around.

  • 5/5

Great location as stated below. Used the coordinates to find as it is not immediately obvious to find. Friendly owner. Recommend!

  • 5/5

Beautiful peaceful farmers field, in a lovely setting, farmer was really friendly and helpful.

  • 5/5

Large, peaceful field at the top of a gorgeous cobbled road. Walk down to the town takes about 20 minutes and there was a bus back up too! We called ahead to book but weren’t charged for our nights stay.

  • 5/5

Great peaceful field, perfect location for Heptonstall and Hebden Bridge! Owner was very helpful and friendly! Would definitely return.

  • 5/5

Simple farmers field what more do you need great spot, picturesque, & the farmer a lovely friendly fella, highly recommend this spot

  • 5/5

Flat field and very quiet 2 minute walk from the pub. Be cautious the hill driving up to the field through the village is very steep my van struggled a bit. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Worth every penny will definitely stay again :)
