This is a gem of a place to stay. Very quiet and safe overnight. Gorgeous views of Lough Derg which is on your doorstop. Short cut to great pub Whiskey Still, with lovely food and creamy pints of Guinness at NE side of car park. Sauna facilities to the S. Would definitely recommend.
One car park says no overnight - the one below the pub has nothing - the one nearest the water has a no tents and caravans. And what a sunset. Pub good - but NO dogs. A couple from one house came for a chat whilst walking the dog - they enjoy meeting people from all the countries - like our French neighbours tonight. Elesan point is a bonus.
Didn’t stay over but lovely area. Public toilets and elsan. Great place to able to empty motorhome toilet and recycling/general waste.

Very relaxing place. Watched the sunset, walked around the marina, had coffee in the cafe and had a few drinks in the Whiskey Still
Stopped for a coffee and walk around, lovely spot. There is an Elsan disposal point in the gent’s public toilet, on right hand side of building but no water for rinsing.
Free parking area with lovely view looking out onto Lough Dearg. Convenient toilet block which appears to be available at all times. Separately three shower rooms - working fine with 10 minutes hot water for 2 units of 10 unit Waterways Ireland smartcard. (c. €6.50 at very good pub/restaurant nearby). That's €1.30 for the 10 minute shower.
Heel rustig. Mooi uitzicht op het grote meer. Toiletten bleven heel de nacht open.
Beautiful setting. Public toilets open. We parked further along towards the marina where the swings were as to not be overlooked by the local houses. There are sign saying no caravans or tents. Does not state no motorhomes or over night staying. Few teenagers late at night by the swings but did not disturb us. Plenty bins.
05/08/2022 Buen parking para pernoctar. con una motorhome de 8 metros sin problema, mejor aparcar en la fila de atrás porque los locales van a contemplar la puesta de sol en su coche en el parking. hay aseos públicos buen sitio y tranquilo
parking très bien placé face au lac, avec toilettes propres, robinet, poubelles, port et aire de jeux a côté. le soir les habitants viennent admirer le coucher de soleil, sinon très calme.
Spent 2 nights here parked at the Marina (drive past the stoney beach and it is into the left next to the swings). Lovely spot very quiet at night. Public toilets, aqua park with kayaking and SUP's. No signs prohibiting motorhome/camper vans. See attached photos.. Will definitely return.
