Great little spot. Perfect for a hike around the peaks including Pen y Fan. Good toilets, fresh water and showers. Friendly, relaxed and helpful owners. Road narrows the last 500 meters and a little tight, but no traffic to deal with and passible in a LWB van. Site is on a slope with few flattish spots. All in all this is a great little site and for £10 a night its a bargain.

  • 5/5

Views of pen y fan are amazing, friendly people who came over a took the money, we just messaged on Facebook to say we had arrived, toilets and showers minutes walk away and they are lovely and big, drive down very narrow so must be confident with having to reverse round corners if needed in a large van or in a motorhome £20 for 2 adults and a child

  • 5/5

Amazing find! Great views, really friendly owners who came to say hi and collect the money. So reasonable,£10 per person, dogs free! Nice clean showers and toilets. If you want to walk to pen y fan from your campsite, this is the place to come to. We will definitely return.

  • 5/5

my first review on here! I recently traveled Scotland and wales for 2 months in a car, I stayed at this little gem of a spot , my first farm stay in UK, it totally reminded me of home , the price was fair, showers just unreal so hot and clean , and owners were nice to, loved it and I was stunned at the mountain view in evening enjoying my red ! 10 pds cost , showers included ! GEM to me !

  • 5/5

Great spot. Quite clean and friendly. What more would you want. I’ll be back for sure. Already added it to my favourites.

  • 5/5

4th time staying so far in 2025. Fantastic location for hiking the Pen y Fan range direct from the campsite. Showers and toilets are excellent, but no washing up facilities so bring your own bowl or bucket. Llewellyn is very friendly and helpful and at only £10 per person per night you can't beat it really. Just turn up, pick a spot, send him a text message and enjoy beautiful views!

  • 5/5

Our second stay here and it didn't disappoint. The views are amazing, the facilities good and the field has lots of space. we will be back for a third stay!

  • 5/5

Absolute gem of a place to stay, not too busy but enough vans in the field for abit of company. Clean and spacious facilities and the location is great, right on the base for a great days hiking. We met the farmer on arrival who was helpful and really friendly. Definitely will be back for another stay!

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

I would reiterate all the positive comments other reviewers have left, clean, quiet, friendly and a stunning view. The drive up the lane is no problem for a campervan, no wing mirror tucking required with some passing places. Keep driving until you run out of tarmac and the farm is on the left. Camping on the field by the entrance. phone number on information board to notify of your arrival.

  • 5/5

Lovely stay, very very private with great facilities. Location is top notch for Cribyn and Pen Y Fan. Very very friendly at a great price. Beautiful scenery beautiful valley. Narrow roads to get to so just be aware.

  • 5/5

A lovely quiet site to use as a Base for exploring the area. Perfect location for us when riding the classic mtb route called "The Gap". We will be back.

  • 5/5

Great place to stay, very quiet and peaceful. Lovely walks to Cribyn and Pen y fan

  • 4/5

very nice site one of the highest on the Brecon beacons great for hiking. narrow lane to get there.

  • 4/5

Franchement c’est entre 3 et 4 étoiles mais on ne peut pas mettre cette note là. Les plus : proche de sentier de randonnée, calme. Les moins : toilette et salle de bain non propre.

  • 5/5

Great location - straight forward uncomplicated camping - local to the trails for the hills - will come back. Farmer (son) really helpful with trail guidance - thank you Llewellyn.

  • 5/5

Great quiet little farm, beautiful setting a little bit tight to get to but worth it.

  • 4/5

Fabulously rural site with wonderful views. Perfect for access to Pen-y-fan and neighbouring hills. The approach road is not for the faint-hearted in a motorhome.

  • 5/5

Easy to book, we just called a couple hours prior and the helpful owner just said to leave the cash in the postbox. It is a slanted field so will need levellers but stunning views and good facilities. Right at the bottom of pen y fan. Also a cute farm dog plodding about. 10pppn and dogs free

  • 5/5

Great site with facilities for the price, decent toilets and showers. Site on a slight slope, but able to find some level areas with the use of levelling ramps. Perfect location for walking the hills of Cribyn, Pen y Fan and Fan y Big. Welcoming hosts will definitely return if I’m in the area. Great value for money. Thank you

  • 5/5

Easy to find, parked up on the hard standing pitches. Facilities were basic but clean, and we appreciated the hot showers after a day of hiking in the snow. Perfect location to walk to pen y fan / cribyn / fan y big from! 14km circular route.

  • 5/5

Absolutely stunning view! Especially when we had a clear nights sky, stars galore! Great location for hiking. We stayed over Christmas and so grateful for the shower and toilet block. I can see why people warm off larger campers as the track is narrow but we managed it fine in a high top long wheel base.

  • 5/5

Absolutely stunning view! We had a brilliant stay - basic facilities but everything we wanted. Slippy getting in and out from field in wet weather

  • 5/5

Gem of a site, rural, great host, lovely facilities in keeping with the farm. 6.36m campervan and had no issue getting up the lane.

  • 4/5

Stunning views tucked away under Pen Y Fan, Fan Y Big and Direct access to Cribyn. what a view to wake up to! slightly sloping field but camp fires allowed and great hot showers and toilets just down the track. A shame to share it but you shouldn't miss out! Just wonderful and away from the masses! go!

  • 4/5

fabulous little spot, narrow lane on approach might not suit larger vans and motorhomes. perfect walking distance to pen Y Fan, superb views friendly farm collie has the roam of the site hence why visiting dogs are to be kept on leads. the downside: we stepped in some dog mess in the dark on the field which wasn't fun and the shower was ice cold. we were the only van there so perhaps gas was off

  • 5/5

friendly welcome and so convenient. great for walking to Penyfan and the surrounding area. close to Brecon. approach via a single lane with passing places. made the journey in a LWB High roof Sprinter with no problem but wouldn't take anything wider. shower and toilets with hot water. sloping field so levelling blocks required.

  • 5/5

Sehr schöner Platz in wunderschöner Umgebung. freundlicher Empfang und neue Duschen und Toiletten. Viele Gelegenheiten zum Wandern direkt vor der Haustür. es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

  • 5/5

Amazing campsite with a breath taking view of Pen Y Fan mountain!! very chilled environment with back to basics shower and toilet block! £10 PP and dogs are free , owner is very friendly and comes round for a chat in the mornings. if you want to direct access by foot to Pen Y Fan this is the campsite for you!! Highly recommended.

  • 5/5

Great little site. Toilets and showers clean and functional - lovely hot water.

  • 5/5

Great facilities, hot water, clean toilet, amazing views and a good location for hikers wanting to explore the brecon beacons. I would definitely recommend it. (p.s. there was a cute farm dog).

  • 4/5

What a find. Ideal basic farm site with newish shower and toilet block with great views of mountains.. Straight onto paths for Cribyn and Pen Y Fan horseshoe. Would think twice if I had a long, wide motorhome as it is a single track road. Ideal for me, Thank you folks

  • 5/5

Amazing location and views! One of the best we have stayed here. Facilities are modern and clean. Plenty of walks nearby. We got up the road in our ford transit fine, tight road but well worth it! The old friendly sheep dog doing the rounds was a joy to see. Will definitely come again, thank you to the owners! :)

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Amazing Location with great views over Cribyn and Fan Y Big. Great walks from the site to Cribyn, Fan Y Big and Pen Y Fan. The Farmer is very friendly and helpful. Excellent facilities with a shower and toilet block which were very clean and supplied with very hot water. Will definitely be returning!

  • 5/5

Great little stop , wouldn’t come here in anything bigger than a lwb definitely not a motorhome stop the roads are a bit tight coming in but definitely worth it when you get here good toilet block amazing views and very friendly farmer

  • 5/5

Amazing views and great walks came here in a lwb be crafter and the road up was VERY tight but achievable

  • 5/5

Great place to stop over for hiking, clean facilities, just text the number at the gate on arrival, will definitely be going back!

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

This place has spectacular views and clean new toilet and shower facilities located down the concrete path at the bottom, the friendly owner comes around to take payment and gives recommendations on walking routes. Will definitely return and would highly recommend, an added bonus that it was relatively empty so it was nice and peaceful.

  • 5/5

just arrived here and couldn't wait to rave about it. it is FANTASTIC. best place i have camped so far, only 2 tent people here, silent, not busy, no kids yet! shower/toilet block down track, farmer super friendly, gave tips on hikes. field slopes so if you are picky bring ramps but i will park anywhere so doesn't bother me. dogs welcome on leads. will be a regular here i think!

  • 5/5

Nice field with wonderful views of the hills. Facilities were clean and the farmer friendly. The approach road is quite narrow with limited passing places but we managed fine in our Ford Transit.

  • 5/5

Cheap, clean and stunning views with easy access to walk up pen y fan. No issues rocking up and paying, completely fuss free. I will defo be back.

  • 5/5

Tolles Wandergebiet, mega Umgebung!

  • 5/5

Nice little campsite with basic hot showers and toilets. £10pppn or £2 to park your car for the day. £5 for fire wood. Will definitely visit again.

  • 5/5

lovely spot, narrowroad but no problem for buscampers

  • 5/5

Stayed 19th June great spot £10 for night with 2 showers & 2 toilets & water tap. Grass field sloping. As said narrow lane for last mile & half, my vehicle Sprinter Ambulance 3m height, 2.5m wide to mirror edges x 6.5m in length any wider it will be tight but worth it for the view, The Cribyn, Fan y Big & Pen y Fan hill walkers dream spot. Great little gem, look forward to my return trip.

  • 5/5

Recently stayed here for two nights. Location is amazing with great views over Cribyn and Fan Y Big. Great walks from the site. Excellent facilities with a shower and toilet block (covered by cctv) We just about managed to get up the lane with our camper (6m) but might be a corner too far for anything bigger. BBQ's and fires allowed, the perfect end to a day out hiking!

  • 5/5

Stunning views and a quiet field to park in. Nice facilities too. We went on a gorgeous walk around the valley.

  • 5/5

After staying last year we couldn’t wait to come back. Lovely quiet spot with amazing views. £10pppn, or £2 just to park your car there for the day. We’ve got a LWB crafter and manage absolutely fine driving up the track.

  • 5/5

Beautiful relaxing place to stay. The campsite is run by lovely people & surrounded by beautiful scenery! The facilities are well kept. Will definitely be visiting again!

  • 5/5

Absolutely Lush! Planned to stay here for the one night and it was so peaceful with beautiful views we stayed 2! Hot showers and toilets. wood can be provided for an evening fire. The owner was really friendly (thank you!) and pointed us in the right direction for a evening pub pint :) you can also walk straight from here up to Pen y Fan. We will be back!

  • 5/5

Beautiful quiet spot with amazing views in all directions. Ideal for walking, with direct access to paths up Pen-y-Fan. Toilets and showers. Lovely helpful farmer.

  • 5/5

Lovely little spot to pitch up for the night in the camper, fantastic views of the mountain sides and pen y fan in the distance! £10 pp per night hot showers and clean toilets. We turnt up and just went straight onto the field the farmer is friendly and welcoming also a retired sheep dog comes to say hey and circles the grounds whilst you’re staying. Fire wood sold on sight £10 for 15kg of wood.

  • 5/5

Really good spot, lovely views of the mountains, toilets & hot showers, and had loads of space for us when we rocked up.

  • 4/5

We arrived and paid £20 for the night (£10 per person) Lovely clean toilets and a new shower block. Very quiet night with a few other vans here. There are around 4 hard standing pitches, a little bit un level but we used the ramps to level it out, but there’s a whole field to use when the weather has been ok and it’s dryer.

  • 5/5

Gorgeous location, and perfect for walks, hot showers and toilets are fab (if a little stool or some basic shelves could be put in the shower area it would help loads). We'll definitely be back! Fab place!

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night on our first ever camper van holiday. Very easy, just turn up and call the farmer, £10 pppn includes use of the really nice toilets and showers which don’t look like they’ve long been built. 4g on Voda, good enough for Netflix. On a bit of a slope so chocks are advantageous. Great views and location, literally right at the bottom of Corn Du, we did that and pen y fan.

  • 5/5

Visited on 23 Feb. Just as described - brilliant location for walking up Pen Y fan, Cribyn etc. farmer super helpful, parked on hard standing as field was a bit wet. I was in a Boxer LH2, no problem with access. A great spot, will definitely be back.

  • 5/5

A great spot. It snowed when I was here and the clean, hot showers were the best thing ever after a cold morning on the hills. Super friendly too. I'll be back!

  • 5/5

Stayed here for the one night, in my van on the hard standing area. Tidy little field with some great views. Toilets and showers on site are lovely and clean. The owners are really friendly and helpful. Right on the doorstep of some incredible walks/hikes with some breathtaking views. I will definitely be making a return visit with some friends!

  • 5/5

Had a wonderful couple of nights here. Very friendly was even kind enough to drop off some fire wood for us. Loverly scenery. nice clean showers and toilets. Would definitely recommend

  • 5/5

What a great location. It’s a field on a slight slope, relatively flat areas can be found though. The farmer is very friendly and we paid him £10 each by bank transfer. A new toilet/shower block is very close by, with an outside water tap if required. A fantastic location for walking, I will definitely make this my new base for walks this spring.

  • 5/5

A great stay, friendly owner, nice and rural with beautiful views to wake up too. Only 5 mins away from the start of walk up to Pen-y-fan. Showers & toilet block in good condition. Some inquisitive old sheep dogs that roam around so keep dogs on leads (we had ours on a long lead in the ground) nice and quiet out of season too - pretty much had the whole felid to ourselves, so it felt so peaceful.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Turned up late and in bad weather, although the lane is tight we had no problem in a LWB crafter. Text the host and bank transferred for our stay, he was lovely and friendly! Facilities were spot on, and the showers lovely and hot! Ideal start point to climb pen y fan. We will be back for sure!

  • 5/5

This is a wonderful place well away from any noise and with fantastic views, even in very wet weather. The friendliness of other campers and the owner really made me feel safe and accepted on my first ever "car camp" and I almost certainly will be back. I did not think that the narrow roads would be an issue due to driving a car, but still had to be cautious as they really are quite tight.

  • 5/5

Farm/campsite is located down a long narrow road but is very easy to find. Location is perfect for climbing Pen Y Fan horseshoe so I camped here for 2 nights. Facilities are decent and the host is very friendly. Ground isn’t totally level but I will be staying here again in my camper van when I next visit the area.

  • 5/5

Absolutely stunning views, friendly farmer, lovely hot showers. Just turn up no need to book, fire pits an extra bonus. Lots of lovely walks, peaceful stay. Thanks for your hospitality. Will definitely be visiting again.

  • 5/5

No need to book, just turn up, call number on arrival to give reg. either bank transfer or cash £10 per night. Absolutely gorgeous views of pen y fan and fan y big. Walking routes direct from camping field. Lovely, brand new shower and toilet facilities. Hot showers! Ended up staying a few nights, loved it

  • 5/5

Fantastic campsite! Plenty of space, decent amenities and for a fair price. Would recommend!

  • 5/5

Excellent spot great access to the mountains I only planned on one night but stayed for 3 nights. I will be using this spot when in Wales

  • 5/5

Great site with great views lovely and quiet and very remote feeling with easy access to Fan Y Big. Friendly farmer good for camping , and camper vans small to medium may struggle getting a motor home down small lanes . Ready made fire pits enjoy !

  • 5/5

Great place with a fabulous view. The Honesty Box is immediately on the right side when you enter the farm. We couldn’t find it in the dark when we arrived but saw it the next morning. The showers are very nice and hot and the toilets are clean. Better than most campsites! We didn’t meet the owner because we arrived quite late and didn’t want to disturb anyone. The dogs are a big plus!

  • 5/5

Unglaubliche Aussicht!

  • 5/5

you will drive up a long single track road dont go fast! Great toilets and very close to PEN Y FANN Mountain

  • 5/5

lovely quiet place with some beautiful walks and views, farmer was very polite and helpful, will definitely be returning when out on our travels. Gary, Jaqc and Degsy Dog.

  • 5/5

Perfect find, no need to book, access straight up to the mountains. We will definitely be back. :-)

  • 5/5

What a fabulous spot, we found the path to the ridge way up to Fan y Big, the sight we looked upon straight from the field. Do we love this site, it was the perfect peaceful place to slowly end our first visit to Wales.

  • 5/5

A fantastic find. It was quiet (only 3 other vans in the field). The facilities were good, and we were treated to red kites soaring overhead. We will definitely be back.

  • 4/5

beautiful site, I stopped on the way to a friend's, didn't book, a very peaceful evening, fire pit, friendly farm dog and a quiet night. basic shower and toilet block, all great. £10 a night. Man was very friendly. a bit bumpy on the last bit of track in, but such stunning views. wonderful place, will be back.

  • 5/5

Perfect campsite in a truly beautiful location. Laid back but very helpful owners. Fires and dogs allowed. No posters with shouty rules & regs. Often been the only ones there. Views of the Bannau and walks galore. Lovely new toilet and shower block. No road noise at all.

  • 4/5

If you are looking for remote, this is the place for you! Only suitable for cars/small vans to get to. Farmer was friendly and welcoming despite it being 10pm-ish. Quite a slope but ok after some manoeuvring. Biggest single toilets I have ever seen, showers are hot and all under cover. Doggies are inquisitive but quite vocal at night. Earplugs suggested. Roads not suitable for lowered vans/cars.

  • 3/5

Apart from the slight slope in the field and the farm dogs barking intermittently throughout the night its fab. No good if you're a light sleeper. £10 per person per night.

  • 5/5

Such an amazing place, beautiful views all around and a nice quiet spot! New toilet block with showers are a fantastic bonus too, we really enjoyed our stay here! I highly recommend this place!!

  • 5/5

Lovely people plenty of room no need to book just turn up owners are around. Showers and toilets very clean.

  • 4/5

Great facilities and an extraordinary view. You can see pen-y-fan from the campsite. There’s a number to call on arrival. Owner is very chilled, came up to us on his motorbike.

  • 5/5

Stayed 4 nights. Beautiful views and quite site. Toilet/shower block clean. Loved that I could walk from my van straight up Brecon Beacons. Owners of field very helpful to me. I had lovely weather, but as grass very long would have been unpleasant if rain and path to shower/toilet block would have been mud. However, I will definitely be back

  • 5/5

Stayed last night Very peaceful spot, absolutely stunning views. Really quiet night aside from the sheep in all surrounding fields :) Really clean toilets and shower facilities. Got a T5 SWB and the lane was big enough for us to get through, however had to reverse for another van coming down. Just be mindful when travelling here :) Overall great experience, will definitely be coming again.

  • 5/5

The view is worth it alone! I have stayed here a number of times. The road is quite narrow and steep so be prepared. There's a new shower and toilet block. And beautiful walks up the Roman road straight from site. It's on a working farm but the owners are super friendly would highly recommend

  • 5/5

We don't usually stay on sites where we have to pay, but this place sounded really good so we thought we'd give it a try - and we were glad we did. Downsides - long single track road to get up here. Little traffic but be prepared to reverse! Also, not many level spots - much of the field slopes. Upsides - stunning views, lots of firepits (and wood) and new toilet/shower block. Well recommended!

  • 5/5

Gorgeous place and ideal for walking up Pen y Fan. Walking from this campsite was far less busy than walking from the other side. We only saw a handful of people on our way there and back. The weather was gorgeous so we expected it to be much busier. New shower and loo block very clean. Lovely farmer has had the farm for generations. Will definitely return and a great find.

  • 5/5

We stayed here over the weekend. It’s a beautiful location which is quiet and a hassle free site. Direct path for walking Pen Y Fan. Owner just asks for a phone call to confirm arrival no pre booking needed. Toilet and showers very clean and drinking water on site. The farmer was very friendly and has firewood to buy at £5 per bag. At £10 per person per night I would highly recommend this spot.

  • 5/5

Great little campsite, in the shadow of Pen y Fan. Very cheap for a great location. Perfect spot for a stopover with route up the mountain from the farm itself. Shower facilities are brand new. Dog friendly and camp fires allowed with firewood available. Access for up to a LWB Sprinter or Crafter, possibly for a small motorhome. Llewelyn is a great host too! Friendly and accommodating!

  • 4/5

Very narrow road up to the field, we managed in our XLWB Sprinter but anything wider would have an issue. Views& location lovely, spots are on the wonk so you would need blocks, our kid fell out of his bunk (onto our bed) as we didn't have any! Friendly farmer, excellent toilet/shower facilities w hot water. Tap but no hoselock fitting, long hose needed. Would recommend! Bargain £5pp

  • 5/5

We’ve now stayed here twice since being in wales! Lovely and quiet with great views. Perfect if you want to climb pen y fan without the crowds. £5 pppn or £2 to park for the day, plus dogs allowed! Narrow road to lead up but we managed fine in our LWB crafter! New toilets/ showers and water point installed too.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet place with a brand new toilet block (installed the day we arrived). 3 sweet farm dogs too. Easy access to great walks and a very friendly couple who run the farm. 10/10

  • 5/5

Awesome spot! The area for vans is the field opposite the honesty box! Don’t be like me and drive down the one way track until you reach the sheep field. Reversing back all the way was no fun!! Area with hard standing and 4G signal is ok!

  • 5/5

An absolutely perfect spot, could not recommend this enough!

  • 5/5

brilliant place to stay, highly recommended and well worth £5! Beautiful scenery and camp fires allowed

  • 4/5

Cracking little spot with awesome views and perfect for starting point for going up cribyn/Fan y Big/pen y fan! Rustic sloping field with very basic facilities but if you’re self sufficient then the £5 honesty box fee is more than fare. Friendly farmer and dogs and camp fire allowed

  • 5/5

Beautiful views and a lot of space! Definitely will use this again! Thank you

  • 5/5

Lovely site , great access to the mountains . Beautiful views of Fan y big , and adjacent mountains . A bit of a walk to facilities , but new ones are currently being built . Honesty box on entrance to the site . Would recommend. 5*

  • 5/5

Absolutely loved it here! Tight squeeze driving up to the field but managed it in our Ford transit. Had a field to ourselves with incredible views. The farmers were so friendly and gave us great advice for a hiking route. Good phone signal too. Very basic toilet and tap further along the track. Highly recommend.

  • 5/5

Great site, simple but great value. Toilet a small walk to farm. Slight slope so best to bring chocks but we managed without. Very quite and peaceful.

  • 5/5

A great little spot with beautiful surroundings. We spent the night with four other vans. The road is tight, especially the last mile or so. There is plenty of walking in the area to enjoy and walkers do use it to park so be aware of that when parking. Please respect this amazing spot and take all rubbish with you. Also don't forget the honesty box, we don't want to lose it!

  • 5/5

There is plenty of room to pick your place. It is relatively flat, and it has amazing views. It is also a parking lot, so be aware that a vehicle can be parked just feet from your sliding door It is important to notice that there will be a brand new shower and toilet shed soon.

  • 5/5

    Basic, peaceful and Beautiful

  • 5/5

Amazing with great views of pen y fan and surrounding peaks. Toilet and running water facilities in the out buildings down by the farm (there is also a very friendly old dog and pig) Like others have said the roads are narrow and winding but I stayed in my tent box on my car so no issue for me.

  • 5/5

Brilliant stop over. As others have said very narrow road leading to it but once there it’s worth it. Park in the first field you come to and leave £5 per person in the honesty box on the fence, there are toilets and drinking water down in the outbuilding by the farmhouse. The farmer and his wife are very friendly when you see them. Couldn’t fault this stopover whatsoever.

beautiful views and convenient access to the horseshoe trail, would recommend seeing the diving board. Ideal for T5/transit vans due to small lanes.(NOTE TO DOG OWNERS) the roaming sheepdog is good with people but not other dogs, keep yours on a lead.

Beautiful views, narrow roads to get there but VW camper was no problem. Good phone signal - spent 2 nights here and worked remotely using 4G. Easy access to hiking routes for pen y fan etc. Definitely recommend.

Lovely location, super friendly farmer, great views of the beacons and a perfect starting point for hikes. Basic toilet and water tap by the main farm. Firewood is available to buy if you catch the owner. Narrow road so probs best for vehicles VW camper sized.
