Ich finde den platz gut, es hat eine stelle der recht eben ist der rest nicht so. Super für spatziergänge, sehr ruhig. Würde wieder kommen??

Great parking for a hike to Tarn Hows, where the official car park is not particularly campervan/motorhome friendly. I only stayed during the day but didn’t see any signs prohibiting overnight.

  • 3/5

Lovely spot, but there is now a sign stating that overnight camping is not allowed

  • 5/5

Grosser Platz. Nicht überal flach. Mit Ausgleichskeilen gehts sicher. Wanderer Parkplatz. Kein Service, ausser Picknicktisch. Zufahrt hat grosse Löcher. Sauber. Schwaches 5G. Kein Telefonsignal

  • 4/5

Clean, level enough and spacious area. Can hear cars on the main road and some dog walkers in the morning but it is fairly quiet. Great view of the hills and a nice picnic bench with BBQ safety plaque so great for cooking on stove. A note that the road in has some very large and deep pot holes so be aware!

Ein wunderschöner Platz mit toller Aussicht! Sehr zu empfehlen!

You need to have good levelling skills to find a flat spot. We did after a few manoeuvres, but maybe due to having a long wheel base van. There is no mobile signal on Three and O2 in the car park, but walk a little way up the forest path and signal then okay.

Quiet spot near to tarn hows which was great for a walk. Stayed here in august with a few other campers

  • 4/5

stayed here for one night with our car tent box few other campers but peaceful from the road. No signs of no camping, no one came to tell us to move

  • 4/5

Au calme, presque plat, pour les addict à la 4G le réseau n’est pas performant mais ça passe. Beaucoup de place. Une table de picnic , pas de poubelle.

  • 5/5

Stayed here in the roof tent last Friday. Quiet after 6pm 2 other vans did use also. Few cars from 7am the next morning but overall good spot.

  • 5/5

    great quiet spot. brilliant views.

  • 5/5

Prima plaats om te overnachten. Mooie wandelingen in de omgeving

  • 5/5

We arrived here at about 9pm with our roof tent, noone else was here and there's no signs. on the bench next to the spot there's a little bbq stand put there by the forest commission. lovely place nice and quiet no issues all night.

  • 5/5

Excellent spot for parking the night with great views across the hills. Near to local walks and Coniston nearby for supplies. No facilities so leave only your tyre tracks.

  • 5/5

A great place to park for the night with views towards the Coniston fells. We were joined by two other vans. Very quiet at night and virtually no passing traffic. The lane leading to here from Windermere side is narrow and twisty so maybe better to approach from Coniston if you have a larger van.

  • 5/5

Immernoch wundervoll ruhig und immernoch keine Verbotsschilder

  • 5/5

Spent the night here. Very calm area and great view. Few other vans on the spot.

  • 5/5

Lovely stop. No signs or charge. Only van here overnight but 3 arrived the following morning with views to stay that night. Forestry commission rangers in & out up the forest tracts early morning but no bother. Lovely 2 mile walk over to Hawkshead for breakfast. No signal phone or tv, picnic bench. Leave no trace

  • 5/5

A place in nature! Why do campervan and motor homes think its acceptable to empty your grey water here. Be responsible

  • 4/5

Was a flat and quiet place, with great views across the lakes, will definitely be going back.

  • 5/5

Big level space with good forest and walks.

  • 5/5

Fabuloso, vistas extraordinarias, hay una mesa de picnic. Hay un cartel que indica que hay alto riesgo de fuego y que está prohibido hacer barbacoas y fuego, a pesar de que nos llovió por la noche y al día siguiente.

  • 5/5

Stayed two nights, first night we were the only one there, 2nd night turned up at 9 and found there were 5 other campers parked up! Such a lovely spot.

  • 4/5

Very quite, level ground, no phone signal, stunning view and nice walks near by.

  • 5/5

No signs, no gates, very clean small spot. really nice.

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight, only one there. No signs at all staying no parking overnight seen. One sign saying carpark closed as unsafe. Car park wasn't closed and wasn't unsafe. Went for a walk at 9am, by 11am car park full of vans, cars and campers. Had a tidy up before I left. Great views, totally silent at night. Poor phone signal on Vodafone however fine while walking over to Tarn Hows

  • 1/5

No overnight stays signposted with patrols seen. Carpark closed due to logging currently

  • 1/5

Landowner does not permit overnight stays. You will be moved if found

  • 5/5
