We stayed Saturday night on a busy event weekend and still no issue parking. 3 other vans and still plenty spaces for cars in day. Pub staff friendly, just have to register plate for free parking and are encouraged to drop in for a visit during stay. Struggled with phones signal, only 4G across two networks. That aside car park is flat with only slight slop. Nice stay.

  • 4/5

Very nice staff in the pub, they were very quiet so chef left early, no food but we had a drink, car park has a sight slope. Had a quiet night with one other camper. The entrance is tight we have a 6m van so anything bigger than 7m may have fun, if cars are parked. When you get there, go in the pub and register your number plate as its a monitered area. Thank you alowing us to stay.

Pub under new management. Not doing food currently but welcoming just the same. Staff lovely and helpful.

  • 1/5

Early evening on a Sunday, and the pub was shut! All the other pubs in the town were open, but you need to be able to park. The car park at the Wheatsheaf was empty, but the company running it seem pretty likely to fine you if you don't register at the Wheatsheaf. Doesn't seem like you can depend on this pub ever being open.

Arrived 2nd July 2025 at around 5.00pm. Pulled into virtually empty carpark only to discover the pub was shut. Didn’t stay and drove off to the nearby Sports Club field instead. Walked past the pub the following morning, but still closed. Noticed a camera on the pub wall pointing at the car park. Now received a £100 parking fine, not happy!

  • 5/5

Very friendly welcome, stayed Tuesday night only one van on car park. register your reg in pub. will be back thanks.

  • 4/5

Nice stop over, free to pub customers just need to put reg details into the tablet inside pub. Staff welcoming and food good, with an enjoyable glass of wine. Pub lovely and clean with an outside area would definitely stay again We were surprised to see a traction engine going down the road then realised it is the Corbridge steam rally weekend

  • 4/5

Sehr netter Empfang und gerne wieder. kostenloser Standplatz und gutes Essen. Vielen Dank.

  • 5/5

Nice place to stay for one night and good food! Very friendly staff!

  • 5/5

Here now 8/3/25 good car park, you have to put your reg in the tablet outside or in the pub, you put your reg in and how many days you are staying upto 3, they recommend 2 to cover us even though just staying one night, as long as you come in for a drink or food. Nice place, simple to do!

  • 3/5

You have to pay for the carpark - isn't run by the pub anymore.

  • 5/5

stayed here for one night , nice and quiet night the staff are lovely.nice little town.

  • 5/5

Great location for chilling and a free overnight stop. We had excellent food and a few drinks.Plenty of room in the car park but you have to be careful entering due to the narrow opening. I was driving a 7.5m camper and found it fine but reversed in after swinging out. The staff and owner are great welcoming people also. GREAT FOOD!!!!.

  • 4/5

Nice place to stop - pub has recently changed hands (only reopened about a week ago). Didn’t eat here but went in for some drinks, nice inside, staff really nice - had no issues in the car park overnight and pleasant little town to walk round!

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night in the motorhome. definitely been taken over, no longer do food and didn't have a lot of stock, not sure what's gone on? but anyway, just asked our reg, got a pint, then had a few more in the village and a Chinese, perfect!

  • 2/5

We have stayed several times before and were impressed but has recently changed hands? Food and service terrible, cheap ingredients badly cooked no desserts available as chef awol! We paid and left. the car park was very noisy cars revving, doors banging, throwing traffic cones about , screams shouts and music from who I think were local ‘youngsters’? we won’t be back any time soon. Such a shame

  • 3/5

Take care! I ended up with a parking fine here, even though I was cleared to park for the night by the owners. I'm in the process of contesting it but save yourself the trouble I'm having to go through by making sure you are properly cleared to park. Apart from that, the bar staff were friendly and very helpful. I couldn't eat there due to staffing problems on that night.

Klasse Pub, sehr freundliches Personal, noch dazu ein günstiges und sehr schmackhaftes Essen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Der Parkplatz ist sehr geräumig für einen Kastenwagen, spitze!

  • 5/5

Excellent place to stay. Really friendly staff, quiet parking and no charge. Great pub and good food. we will be back here for sure.

  • 5/5

Very friendly staff and good size pup will be back again very soon.

  • 5/5

Sehr angenehmer Platz. Die Küche war leider zu, erstaunlicherweise wegen fehlendem heißen Wasser. Aber zwei Bier reichten auch, um kostenlos stehen zu dürfen.

  • 5/5

A nice and safe place to stay in

  • 5/5

Ok voor een nacht. Ik heb toegevoegd dat er een toilet is want je kan deze van de pub uiteraard gebruiken. Als deze gesloten is, is er ook nog het toilet in het centrum (500m).

  • 5/5

Stayed 1 night. Parked up & went into the pub & checked in. The manageress was lovely as were the locals, some good conversation was had & also chatted with another couple staying over in their camper. couldn't try the food as it finished at 3pm with the bank holiday.

  • 5/5

lovely place to stop, just let the landlady know you've parked in the carpark, and as long as you have some food or drinks, you can park for 24hrs from the time you arrive.

  • 5/5

Exactly as described, lovely place/ lovely people. Very helpful and friendly staff, in fact the same could be said of the whole village. No facilities other than parking at the moment but I’m told by the manager they are working on that. 6 out of 5 for me. !!

  • 5/5

Excellent stopover heading south. Easy access from A68. The Wheatsheaf inn is beautiful inside, staff friendly. Level carpark for MH. No food available today (Monday). Ancient town of Corbridge is lovely with little independent shops. Will definitely be back.

  • 5/5

Great place, just register your van reg in the pub to avoid charges - lovely pub and really enjoyed the village of corbridge!

  • 5/5

Good size car park behind the pub, no noise at all, all night. Set up for the night then went in to the pub, they just asked for a reg. Pub is really nice, warm and dog friendly. Only had drinks but food looked good too. Great free spot for parking.

  • 5/5

I’m giving this a five star because of the welcoming staff very friendly. The food was excellent value and good choices, we had no problem getting into the car park we have two large vans, will be back know problem.

  • 5/5

Very friendly staff, great food, extremely welcoming. We parked free on their carpark for one night. Highly recommend.

  • 4/5

Brilliant location, need to book a table to eat, to stop over, food was great, 2 courses for £15, can be some road noise

  • 5/5

Great pub, really welcoming to dogs too. We arrived 5pm and they were more than happy for us to stay in the car park overnight

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Fabulous little village within a ten minute walk. The pub staff are so pleasant to. Good food and plenty space for parking. Definitely be going back.

  • 5/5

I am RV camping with my husband and one year old son.. This place let us stay free of charge and allow my son in the pub so we could have a few drinks to relax.. the staff was very friendly and the food was good/drinks cold.. I feel safe staying here too cause it’s just in a quiet local village.. I would recommend 5*

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night in our campervan. Turned up at 9pm and called the pub ten mins beforehand to check ok to stay if we had breakfast the next day and they said yes. Proper breakfast for £10 each and very friendly staff - well worth it. And great location by village centre and river Tyne.
