Gratis staan bij een gezellige plek. En dat in ruil door daar te eten. Goede maaltijd, meer dan genoeg en dat voor een redelijke prijs. Aardig personeel. En je mag ook nog gratis stroom gebruiken.

Now with electric hook available up for 4 vans. Dogs are allowed in the bar area and food can be served there. No dogs allowed in restaurant area. Friendly place. 6 vans parked up last night, we took turns at getting a shot of the electric hook-up.

Lovely pub - free to park overnight if you buy something. We had a delicious vegetarian dinner and some drinks. Staff are very welcoming to campers. Hope to be back again soon!

Recommend spot, Nice welcoming atmosphere with good food and drinks, road in is a bit wild and bumpy just before village coming in from a1 so take it steady so not to launch everything inside, vegan chef has left but had options that were nice and tasty, car park is large and easy to park up 7m camper, would definitely come again

We ate at the pub so parked for free. Was allowed to use EHU but didn’t need it. Toilets in pub available all night. Level car park, lots of space.

Exceptional Vegan Dishes, a must for anyone looking to stop for the night, travelling up and down from Scotland, beautiful bar ,restaurant, staff fantastic ,chef's Exceptional being vegan ,there's never anything decent on the road,but we're blown away by the standard of cuisine here ! 5* would 100% recommend.

Great pub stop with EHU, very friendly staff and huge portions of food. A single fresh water tap would be a great addition.

Fab stopover. Friendly and helpful staff at the pub, and the food looked amazing. I'd eaten so just paid £10 for EHU (bargain). Open fields for walking to the rear. The village is very pretty too. Close to A1 (M) but far enough to not hear it, would definitely come back

First rate stopover. Free EHU and pub toilets open all night. Dog friendly and great food. The owner is thinking of expanding the motorhome parking, adding showers and toilet. He wants to keep it free so make sure you eat in the restaurant, if that I an imposition go elsewhere.

Such a lovely welcome in the snow. Free hook up for the cost of a delicious roast and use of the loos overnight. I definitely recommend this I imagine, in better weather it gets busy. accommodation in the pub too if you are needing a non van night or meeting friends. very happy we found this and the snow ploughs had been this far!

Being new to motorhoming this was our first night out and it was great. Food fab and free electric hook up, toilets open all night. dog friendly too.

Top notch food, electric hook up (first come, first served), friendly place. They also serve breakfast to campers which is booked the night before.

Not only is this spot perfectly placed close, but not too close to the A1(M) for going up to (or back down from) Northumberland, but the toilets are open all night, AND the food is OUTSTANDING!! Super scrumptious. Seriously considered staying an extra night, JUST for the food! Service was impeccable. I have literally nothing to fault this place for. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Such a lovely place. Arrived too late for evening meal but had a drink and fantastic breakfast the next morning. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stop over again if in the area. Very accommodating even offered to leave the toilet open for us to use the facilities. Many thanks

Very nice pub in the Yorkshire countryside with welcoming bar staff ! Car park accommodation for campervan was lovely with first come first served EHU . Toilet facilities available in the pub ! Very picturesque area !

Our second overnight stay here, having discovered it last year. Spacious level parking with free ehu at the bottom of the car park. We didn't phone ahead, just introduced ourselves on arrival and booked a table for a meal. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have a fabulous menu and the food is superb. Lovely atmosphere. Spent a peaceful night and felt very safe. Thank you.

I can not rate this place highly enough! Free car parking, 4 free ehu, (1st come 1st served), fantastic staff, beautiful, clean place with toilets open 24/7. Just eat/drink there, you won't regret it...its amazing! Please support them if you’re in the area, and don’t abuse their hospitality, it’s a wonderful place. (The village and surrounding area isn’t too shabby either)!

Sehr empfehlenswert, allerdings eher für autonome Fahrzeuge. Infrastruktur nur teilweise vorhanden(E-Anschluss z. T.). Das ist der Grund für 4 Sterne, sonst 5 Sterne. Toiletten im Haus sind 24/7 benutzbar. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist gediegen. Das Essen sehr gut. Die Lage sehr ruhig. Super als Standplatz in Richtung Edinburgh.

Fantastic stopover with Motorhome and Car trailers following racing at Croft race track. Landlord extremely accommodating and went out of his way to fit us in. Good excellent. Highly recommend and will be back!

Great place to stopover, I would definitely recommend! The pub and food is lovely especially with the log burning fire. The car park is big, quiet and the campervan pitches are flat with free electric hook up (4 pitches have electric).

We had a lovely overnight stay in our camper here. Onsite parking in the back of the inn with an electrical hook up. Staying is free, you just have to eat at there. - Electricity is free - all night and day bathroom access available - on request fresh water available - 5min off the A1; the streets leading here are small but good manageable - we stayed here with a 8m camper without any problems

Sehr netter Eigentümer, sehr nettes Personal. Sind sogar auf unsere durchwachsenen Englischkenntnisse eingegangen. Stellplatz ist leicht abschüssig, Strom, Wasser und Toilette sind inklusive. Essen war sehr lecker. Immer wieder gerne!

Ich habe hier eine ruhige Nacht mit meinem Hund verbracht. Mega netter Gastgeber und das Essen war der Hammer. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen, der auf der Durchreise ist.

All that has been said we can only confirm. A1 can just be heard from the pub. Four vans the night we stopped but still a large amount of parking space. Food in the pub is top notch (5x AA stars) We will use again. Thank you.

Anything less than a 5 would be rude. Very good food. Very nice service , Fair price . Nice quiet spot, all clean and working. Hidden gem in Kirkby Fleetham . When I come back to the UK , this will be my no 1 spot.

Sehr guter Platz für einen Zwischenstopp nach oder von Schottland. 6 km von der Autobahn, sehr ruhig. Mit Strom für 4 Mobile, Platz für mehr. Fläche relativ eben. Sehr freundliches Personal und super leckeres Essen, dafür steht man dann kostenfrei. Frühstück möglich!

Lovely little place. Got 4 ehu points first come first served. Nice big car park and quiet. They leave back door open for toilet and wash facilities. Ehu is free but they just ask to use their pub for a meal which is really nice food. Not far off the A1 which is handy. We had stuff to do in Richmond so 20 minutes away from the campsite. Staff were friendly and polite would definitely go back

Very welcoming to motorhome and camper vans. A really good pub with superb food and great ambience. Very busy with diners best to avoid arriving between 7pm and 8pm. Hook up and toilets available with food purchase. Also free Wi-Fi added bonus amazing breakfast available between 08:30 and 10 am.

Great stop over, so good we stopped on way to Scotland & on the way back. Excellent choice of beers, food is out of this world & super friendly staff. Parking for motor homes & campers along back on car park, electric hook up for a few if you arrive early enough. Good peaceful night without disturbances & excellent breakfast available in the morning.

Stayed over for last 2 nights. What a great place to stay and all staff are polite, friendly and welcoming. Had dinner and breakfast. There are 4 electric points, all free. Toilets immaculate open 24 hours. Waste bins and fresh water. Had a good chat with the owner, he wants more of us to visit. It’s now on my favourites list and will definitely be back. Well done the Black Horse.

What an absolute gem, haven’t met friendlier people on any stop. We got free electricity and use of the toilets 24 hours. My wife and I had a wonderful meal in the bar last night and I had a full English breakfast this morning. Great stuff. At weekends I would recommend getting here early as it’s quite popular with good reason.

Thank you to the Black Horse Inn for allowing an overnight. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant, great hospitality and a quiet overnight. Definitely would love to stop again on the journey homebound.

Warm and welcoming staff at the pub, that were happy to have us stay. Food at the pub was really good. Dog friend seating in the bar too. Toilets are open 24 hours, which are very clean and tidy. Overall quiet and relaxing night stay, hopefully we will be back again one day.

Arrived just after 6pm with our LWB Crafter. Called in advance to make a booking in the restaurant. Honestly was shocked at how good the food is! Landlord was lovely checked in with us to make sure everything was okay! First adventure in our campervan couldn’t have gone any better! Will definitely be returning

Fourth visit to the Black Horse. Always a warm welcome from all the staff. We consider this as a must stop when travelling south. The food is five star. Large space to park on level ground with electric if you need it. Highly recommended.

Best pub stopover we’ve ever experienced, landlord steve, is so friendly, as were all the staff, motorhome parking area is level, has free electric hook ups if you eat and drink in the restaurant or bar, also easily accessible for big rigs, the food is absolutely stunning, delicious, presentation is fantastic, breakfast is as good, the five star award from the aa is well deserved. We have stayed here several times. The car park is level with hook up and fresh water. Toilets available 24/7. There is a really warm welcome from Steve and all the staff. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. This is probably the best pub stopover we have stayed at.

Absolutely nothing to say in any way negatively, food excellent, staff and locals very welcoming, free hook up, level parking at the bottom of the car park, toilets open 24hrs, fill your water tanks with extendable hosepipe. Eat / drink in the pub, parking is free. Breakfast if you like, which is 1st class ! landlord wants more campers / motorhomes ! note to other pubs... Follow this example !!!!!!

This is the best overnight stop yet! Free to stay if you buy food but the quality of food and service would get 5 stars on their own. Free hook up too and the pub toilets are open 24/7. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Unplanned last minute stopover heading north, absolutely fantastic place. Arrived 8pm grabbed a menu and read it whilst we parked up. Ordered and eaten by 9.15pm, food fabulous, staff lovely and helpful, offered ehu and 24hour toilets. Lovely walk through the quaint picturesque village with the dogs. Motorhome plus tow car no problem, very busy car park but found 2 spaces together at the bottom

we booked in for a meal .Arrived 7.45pm in the motorhome sat at table food and drinks by 8.15pm Lovely place great food and very friendly staff. we both ordered off the main menu plenty of choice. and there was a specials menu witch we could have saved a few quid. we will be back to try something else soon

Great pub stopover en-route to Scotland. Free to stay if you have a meal, which was excellent. The bottom of the large car park is flat so no need for chocs, although beware the locals play quoits here which can be a little noisy for a while (Monday evening). After 9pm all we could hear were the owls.

Very nice village/pub in a good location for a stopover. Good size carpark which includes a Quoits area. Team practice night when we were there, very friendly! Good food and friendly service, but not great if you don't eat meat! We didn't find the toilets open 24hours.

Very welcoming and friendly pub serving excellent food. Dog friendly too. Safe location for motorhomes and campervans with all weather surface for year round parking. Thoroughly enjoyed this stop and will hopefully be back some point. An ideal stop off for north / south travelling close to the main routes.

Stayed one night before heading to Scarborough. Car park was busy but there were still spaces. Parked at the bottom of the car park and it was hard standing and flat. Pub was great, staff and owner very welcoming. Food was first class. Toilets left open all night which is a great touch. We will definitely stay here again as only 5-10 mins from Leeming Services so handy when heading North / South

Car park at back of pub with level spot for motorhomes. There were 3 parked up overnight when we stayed. Made to feel very welcome by pub staff. Excellent spot for a walk with the dogs followed by a lovely meal in a cozy rural pub, which is dog friendly, then a peaceful overnighted in the motorhome. Highly recommend.

Stayed on a Saturday en route to Croft Circuit. Great food, great ale. Staff are very hospitable. Not too noisy. Will visit again.

Friendly pub stop, great food and drinks selection, we stayed on a Tuesday evening on the way back up north. Only lost a star due to noise on the evening, can’t imagine the noise at a weekend (bring ear plugs) ... tucked away into a corner space, they also leave toilets open throughout the night which is a plus :) no EHU available!

Ideal quick stop over on route home from Scotland basic largish car park so tucked in the corner as quite busy due to being weekend. the staff in pub are great and friendly, food ale and the gusiness was great. busy little pub on the Friday night with a good vibe. dog friendly. called and booked a table a before turning up to check it wasn't fully booked.

The food was amazing, the staff were lovely, classy toilets,(especially the ladies apparently) water filling point and the landlord says electric hook-up in 2 weeks. Brilliant hospitality here and level parking. Chirpy friendly bar staff. Steve, the landlord is very keen to have more motorhomers in. Just park at the back end of the car park. No cost at date of writing, but we have had a meal and drink. A drink would have sufficed as payment in kind. Bonus - they serve Black Sheep Ales

Absolutely loved this pub stopover.Landlord so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend and ideal for the A1. They also offer you a cooked breakfast and the meals are delicious. Toilet and electricity available.

We had our daughter's wedding reception here so holds a special place in our hearts. Without bias the pub has to be one of the best in Britain. Great food matched by the staff. Excellent stop off. We went back in our Motorhome a couple of weeks ago and things are just as good if not better. All safety measures are in place and adhered to. Brilliant place. Well done Steve and staff.

Well what a super find! This amazing county pub has it all for us camper van folk, 24/7 immaculate toilets with hot water and plenty parking space - there were x3 large motorhome and x2 of us in VW T6 vans and about x20 cars. Staff are so so so friendly, food absolutely delightful and the clientele amongst the best. Just need to ring ahead to confirm your space and book a meal - you can even get your breakfast if you want it. PERFECT

I'm here now just eaten and having a beer as I type this. The service is 5 stars even the owner came by the table to say hi. they are very keen to support the campervan/motorhome community and was even offered hook up and waste disposal as well as 24 hour toilet. Excellent find!
