We were there on a Thursday night at the beginning of July. Great country pub! Really friendly locals that make you feel like you are sitting in someone’s living room. Happy if you have a drink at the pub and park up in the carpark. Quiet spot to park, we were the only ones parked up for the night. Very cute nearby town of Eccleshall
Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend dort. Es gab Pizza, Musik und leckeres Bier in einem Biergarten. Der Wirt hat uns sehr nett eine Platz für unseren Kastenwagen gezeigt, wo wir übernachten durften. Wir kommen gern wieder.
Great stopover in a quiet area. Unfortunately the Inn is no longer serving food but the atmosphere and friendliness of the local residents is second to none. Really enjoyed our night.

Having stopped here two separate occasions, I can confirm that this is an excellent stopover: pleasant pub, friendly landlady and locals, very peaceful overnight.
Went down to Stoke to watch Burnley play them and was looking for somewhere to stay overnight. It’s a good little pub, the landlady and her son were both very friendly & nice. Like everyone else says locals are really lovely & chatty, not like most places where everyone keeps themselves to themselves. A brilliant place, makes you want to move there :-)
The best stopover we've had! Beautiful pub in beautiful setting. Flat carpark you're allowed to stay in if you frequent the pub. And you won't regret it, Liz is the nicest landlady and we spent all evening hanging out with joyous locals playing music and chatting. Has a dart board and nice beers. Only food on Sundays but Liz let us eat our dinner snacks in the pub. We will return! Theo & Sorrel
Wir wurden hier sehr freundlich aufgenommen und durften für ein Bier über Nacht stehen bleiben. Da sich die Einheimischen sich heute hier zufällig trafen um live Musik zu machen, wurden aus dem einen Bier mehrere ....
My gosh me and my partner stumbled apon this place, we had the best night hanging with the locals. The landlady was super great fun. We brought beers and chatted for hours. I want to return again. Massive car park!! Thanks star inn
Halte très sympas, un peu perdue mais le pub est superbe, dans son jus, ils ne servaient pas de nourriture mais nous avons bu un verre et pu commander quelque chose à manger dans le village voisin pour dîner au pub. Patronne adorable, clients super sympas, des échanges intéressants ! Parking en gravier le long d’une route (pas très passante) et on reste à l’abris des arbres, gratuit pour la nuit.

Lovely traditional country pub with a lovely fire, amazing food and really friendly welcome from the landlady and locals. Very welcome to park in the car park and lovely walk around the area with the dog in the morning.
