Lay by in-between St Abbs and Coldingham Bay. Path next to lay by is the Creel footpath that links to both St Abbs and Coldingham bay, both around 30 mins walk away at a leisurely pace. At roadside but road very quiet all night. Bins are at side of parking. No other facilities.

Keine weiteren Einrichtungen.

The sea was a little rough and washing over the harbour wall at St Abbs. This roadside lay-by is a great alternative with amazing views (and a sunrise this morning). Very quiet!

great location for short walk into st abbs, but it is just a small layby, stayed the night but noise from road would put me off staying again

Small quiet layby. As described. Right by public footpath to the coast. Would use again.

Great view, pretty quiet through the night. enough room for two long campers. Rubbish bins have quite a small opening. Good walk down to coldingham sands and then onto st abbs.

great quiet spot to spend the night, food and drink in walking distance, can walk to New Asgard and even got a view of the northern lights last night !

Perfect spot with a beautiful path to explore St Abbs and Coldingham Bay. Traffic started picking up about 7am with a few speedy vehicles shaking the camper but would definitely park here again! Handy bin there too!

Good little last minute stop over. Quiet night sleep from around 10pm till 7am.

I was in a real pinch tonight. My amazing tip was a dud and a local farmer was very angry at me for being lost near his farm. I found a place nearby but it’s only available to a particular caravan club. So I found this app and all I can say is THANKS. It’s all I need. I hope wild camping gets easier. Cheers, Mina

Great spot, but not too many spaces!

Vuilbakken aanwezig.

Cracking spot with great views. Very little evening traffic. Slept like a log. Tidy!

Lovely little place, well situated just outside the village with a nice little path down to the beach. A little bit of road noise, but otherwise great.

Stayed here on the 29/07/21. Close to the town for shopping and facilities but quiet and private in the evening. the creel path is beside the laybye which, when followed, takes you down to Coldingham beach ... beautiful location with cafe, lifeguards and beach huts. Fantastic little impromptu spot which is clean and tidy

Lovely view, probably fit 2/3 vans

Great view. quiet spot - would recommend!

  • 4/5

Lovely little layby looking out over the cliff tops. The road was pretty quiet all night apart from the considerate driver at 6:30am who thought we needed a car horn as an alarm. There is enough space for 3 smaller vans and there are bins too. The walk down to Coldingham sands is worth doing but the path to St Abbs is overgrown with nettles at this time of year.

We parked up here to sit out a rainy, windy night. On the side of the road, but quiet overnight and not overly busy during the day. Has great views out to sea. Footpath nearby for an easy route down to St Abbs.

Nice quiet lay-by, short walk to the beach. Dog walkers route.

Beautiful little lay-by to stop overnight. Great little walk to St Abbs and superb views from the cliff’s. Old School Cafe on the way to the Harbour, very handy for some lunch.
