Called ahead - owners very friendly, looked lovely inside however car park is very sloped, weren’t able to get a spot at all as it was very busy too (3:30 sunday)

Parfait pour une nuitée. Parking gratuit. Il suffit de consommer. Un endroit formidable.

Perfect for an overnight stay free to park you just need to buy a drink or food great place.

Richardhaz31/01/2026A beautiful old pub on the edge of Harrogate. Very safe area and secluded. They stop serving food at 730pm so I missed that but the menu looks good. Good range of local and national ales and beers. The carpark is a bit uneven but it's free parking and surrounded by nature.

ceppm23/04/2025Great country pub for an overnight stop in a very quiet road. Super friendly staff. They were not serving food but we got a couple of drinks and they offered a take away menu. There's also a very large Sainsbury's about 10 mins walk. The parking lot slopes away from the pub so choose your spot wisely.

Beautiful pub very friendly staff .landlord welcoming can park for the night as long as u drink or eat . Good menu and lovely ale .

CraigNicholls02/12/2023Old quaint coaching inn, loads of history. Great dog friendly pub, outstanding restaurant quality food. Game pie was AMAZING. You pay more than your normal pub grub but I must emphasise that the quality is fantastic. Staff are very friendly/ helpful. No Wifi. Good base for an overnight stay. Ideal if you're going to an event at the Yorkshireshow ground. 2 miles walk to centre or the X70/7 bus.

After reading the previous reviews, I'm a bit confused. I pulled up in the car park and walked into the pub to check we were OK to park for the night to be told by the guy behind the bar that they don't allow stop overs. He also said he doesn't know why they are even on the app as they have never done stop overs. Other reviews said that they were friendly (must be talking about a different pub)

Great spot to camp just asked the landlords permission and they was super helpful and friendly. They stopped food at 7.30 but let us order from the local Chinese. Will deffo come back. If not the camping just for the food :)

we stayed here over night 13/08/20 staff are lovely and really , really friendly . The beer was great too quiet location ideal for a stop off.
