Nickson02/08/2025Waren zu zweit während den britischen Sommerferien hier. In der Gegend ist es schwer gratis Plätze zu finden. Haben 38 GBP gezahlt, was schon viel ist, dafür konnten wir uns einen freien Platz auf der wirklich großen Wiese in Seenähe aussuchen, genug Platz vom Nachbarn! Barschangeln im See sehr gut! Sanitäreinrichtungen bei uns an der Seeseite außergewöhnlich gut (Vorraum etc)!!

En veldig stor og fantastisk plass med alt på et sted; butikk, restaurant, take away, strand, båtutleie mm, barnevennlig, turområde og gangavstand til et lite og hyggelig tettsted. Høy prisklasse, men mulig å velge standard på plassen. Vår plass hadde strøm, vann og gråvann på plassen.

One of the best sites, if not the best, we’ve stayed at! Exceptionally clean. Great facilities including a free to use dishwasher! Lots of space in the field so you can be away from others. Plenty of drinking water points. Best of all there wasn’t a push to use shower, it turned on and stayed on with adjustable temp. Bar, shop and rest. On site. Very reasonable for the ££. Will deffo stay again.

Beautiful views towards Ullswater and the hills behind, from the top field, Fellside. I found a level area. 4G mobile signal.
sven198521/03/2025Lovely campsite and friendly staff. Worth noting they DO NOT do a reduced rate anymore for late arrivals and staff want this to be known. Only allow arrivals before 8pm to prevent noise for other campers too.

beautiful safe site with lovely hot showers and heated floors, reception are brilliant, if you wait till after half 5 6pm u normally get a reduced price, me and my son stayed in a electric pitch with fresh water for £20, lovely wee play park and stream and bar and restaurant offering takeaway food also defo stay again

Dit is een mooie, maar echt te dure camping. De voorzieningen zijn top, de ligging ook. Voor mij is het dus echt de prijs. We zijn 1 nacht gebleven......

Our favourite site and never lets you down. Great pitches, great clubhouse and shop. Nice little stroll for our paddles board afternoons. Pooley bridge is great for food and drinks and lovely drives to other locations.

Stopped by to do laundry after phoning ahead as couldn’t find laundrette or revolution laundry in lake district where we could park our large van nearby. £4.50 for a basic wash, £3 for 1 hour of tumble dryer (card only) & £5 to park. Campsite looks lovely, with good facilities including a bar. Next time we stay on a campsite in the lake district it will be here! 2 bars signal on EE, none on o2.

A very well established campsite that had been open for over 70 years. Plenty of pitch selection and you pay for what you get I suppose! we stayed in Striding edge super pitch and the pitch was huge with a picnic table included. Fresh water, electric and waste water on pitch. shop on site and the toilet / shower facilities were very modern and clean. Two play grounds and a football pitch. 5 star

Lovely and helpful staff, spacious site, modern entrance, playgrounds, shop, restaurant, yummy takeaway and nice outdoor eating areas. The reason of 4 stars is that the toilets & showers aren’t very modern. Extremely loud hand driers (not ideal for small kids). Otherwise it’s a great campsite with lots of activities available.
