Had people using my van for shade who didn’t speak English and were not very polite. Later on in the evening they threw a stone at my van.

An absolute stunner of a park up, we didn’t stay overnight but spent the whole day there. Took the short trail up to the waterfall (possible cold dip spot) and then hiked up Knott Rigg - a very steep incline to start with but worth it for the view and levels out on the ridge. Busy all day with people mostly visiting the waterfall but lots of hikers too. Fine going over the pass with a 7m van.

Nice views, but a lot of loud drunk bums who don't know how to behave in nature and disturbed everyone till late in the night. Tissues everywhere, human leftovers and what not. Would not be surprised if this place would get shut down. Let's stick together and pick up a bit of rubbish and if you see someone littering speak up. Don't let some ruin the experience

One of my favourite spots. Absolutely stunning views, incredible walks, Buttermere just a mile or so down the valley, gorgeous waterfalls great and fun for canyoning, definitely a goto spot!

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot, it gets busy in the evening, great hikes around, outstanding view; even, flat surface.

  • 5/5

Fabulous spot, just by a waterfall! Sheep grazing around adds to the cuteness of the area. No sign that indicates spending the night is not allowed. Starting point of some trails. Road is tricky though and not easy for 2 vehicles to cross

  • 5/5

Unbelievable spot in the mountains as long as you don’t require internet

  • 5/5

it's a great place, very busy all day with visitors to the waterfall. no facilities so unfortunately it's used as a human toilet. please bring a cassette toilet to protect it overnight ban

Sehr schöner Ort mit schönen Wanderrouten.

  • 5/5

Couple of nice walks from here and a waterfall too. Good distance from Buttermere and if you go there, you have to hike to Scale Force Waterfall!

Can get windy but with gorgeous views and the waterfall. Stayed two nights with two other vans, but everyone was very quiet. Didn't see any signs saying no overnight camping. Gets busy in the day.

I stayed one night. There were no signs to say it wasn’t allowed and I found it by chance, but other reviews state it’s not allowed. There were three other vans there. Lots of space and close to a waterfall, incredible views. No internet on 02.

Definetly no overnight stays allowed. there is clear signage saying NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING

  • 5/5

Great spot for a picnic and a short walk up to the waterfall.

  • 1/5

No overnight parking signs up and ranger said police will be moving people on if these keep being ignored.

  • 5/5

Amazing views. little waterfall to have a look at. peaceful. quite windy

  • 4/5

Stayed here 04/04/21 along with 3 or 4 other vans. no problems at all. a nice peaceful night (apart from the wind) with a few nice walks for the dog. A short drive down to Buttermere in the morning.

You can’t park here overnight. The National Trust officers and the police will move you on or fine you. This applies to all National Trust land.

  • 5/5

Great spot. Lovely view of the waterfall. Popular location but everyone was pretty quiet. Odd tractor passing throughout the night but other than that no traffic noise.

  • 5/5

Beautiful view! Was woken by a friendly police officer saying that a new law comes into affect from Thursday 24th 2020 that forbids anyone to camp on national trust land within the Lake District. £500 fine if stopped so worth looking into.

  • 5/5

    Good view, slightly windy

  • 5/5

Superb place to stay, lovely views. Can be very windy, very quiet road. No signs saying no camping. Would not advise staying overnight in a snowstorm- they don’t bother clearing snow and gritting!

  • 5/5

Schöner ruhiger Stellplatz für 3-4 Wohnmobile. Kein Service vorhanden. Etwas windanfällig. Schöne Aussicht auf die Täler und dem Wasserfall. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Steigung zum Pass auch mit großem Wohnmobil meisterbar, aber enge Straßen dort hin.

Bit of a climb to get up here but well worth it for the stunning views! some small hiking trails around and a beautiful waterfall too

Beautiful place to stay the night. Level and minimal road noise
