A new sign has appeared and overnight camping is now banned
Nous avons trouvé cet endroit sur une route sans issue. Presque pas de passage, très calme. Il y a un petit chemin qui mène au lac.
We found this spot on a dead end road. Almost no passage, very quiet. There's a little path that leads to the lake.
Wir fanden diesen Ort in einer Sackgasse. Fast kein Durchgang, sehr ruhig. Es gibt einen kleinen Pfad, der zum See führt.
Encontramos este lugar en una calle sin salida. Casi sin paso, muy tranquilo. Hay un pequeño camino que lleva al lago.
Abbiamo trovato questo posto in una strada senza uscita. Quasi nessun passaggio, molto tranquillo. C'è un piccolo sentiero che porta al lago.

driesvhaver04/07/2025Heel fijn plekje dichtbij de veerboot van Lauwersoog. Ideaal dus na een dagje Schiermonnikoog bvb. Er zijn inderdaad heel wat vissers maar die groeten eens vriendelijk en verdwijnen naarmate het later op de avond wordt. Heerlijk rustig geslapen en prachtig zicht op het meer via het padje.
Paule-B01/07/2024Sehr ruhiger Platz. Ich war in der Nacht von Sonntag zu Montag dort. Sobald es etwas später wurde, verschwanden nach und nach alle Autos. Morgens waren lediglich weniger Angler da. das war aber nicht wirklich zu bemerken. Im anliegenden See kann man an sich baden - reinspringen sollte man jedoch nicht. Es ist sehr flach und steinig. Es gibt mehrere Mülleimer.

Spot au calme et proche de l'eau. Pas dérangés, quelques promeneurs le matin Nous sommes arrivés tard et repartis tôt. Beaucoup de moustiques à cette période.

Lovely and really quiet! In the evening and morning a couple of cars to walk dogs, and some accompanying barking, but nothing extreem or excessive. Unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the perks of the dark sky park as it was cloudy and raining.

Nuit très calme, le lac est juste à côté, le vue est superbe.

Sehr schöner Platz für eine Nacht. Kostenlos und komplett im Wald. Morgens kamen recht viele Hundebesitzer. Über einen kleinen Trampelpfad kommt man zum Meer. Schwimmen geht, ist aber sehr steinig und ein paar Angler waren auch da. Für eine Nacht aber wirklich sehr schön.

Schöner und Ruhiger Platz zum übernachten. Durch die Bäume und Büsche auch windgeschützt, falls es mal etwas stürmisch ist. Ein Restaurant ist sogar ca 1 km davor wo man gut essen und trinken kann. Es sind mehrere Wegen zum erkunden des Naturschutzgebietes vorhanden.

We use the dogpark here often. There is now a sign at the road intersection prohibiting night camping. Great place during the day though because it's shady during hot weather. There is also a tiny boat/canoe launch

There is a no-tents/camper sign at the entrance, just of the main road. Stayed anyway, since this is a designated 'Dark Sky Park'. Viewpoint with fold-able benches to watch the stars is recommended.

howie2720/07/2019Super thankful to the OP for this. Beautiful surroundings and the drive in a cross the dam is exceptionnel. This is à very lush green beautiful area surrounded by rivers and lakes and islands. The restaurant bowling place you go past at entrance is worth checking out. Great fish and burgers. Loads of spots here and ultra secluded and private.
