Worst and most stressful site we’ve ever stayed at! Far too many rules and CCTV everywhere, even in the washrooms. The most ridicules barrier system and extra fees for an arrival after 4pm with prior arrangement only. It did not feel welcoming and relaxing at all. Just a car park with cameras everywhere. We would definitely not recommend this place at all!!!
Too many rules, regulations and add on's, oh and emails! We felt as though we couldn't relax even just for one night. Don't like going to a site where you feel like you're being watched all the time. Clean showers, toilets etc but definitely won't be returning.
The weirdest fee structure of any site we’ve been on! Additional £1 for cleaning, only a 5kw allowance on ehu for effectively a £6.5 charge, then 30p per kw thereafter. If you arrive after4pm, an additional £2. Showers not used but additional charges. Ridiculous barrier system and rule/regulations rudely put when we arrived for effectively an unpleasant, not level car park! we won’t be back!
We stayed here last night for 1 night whilst on route to Glasgow. Booked on the website before we arrived . Whilst on route got a phone call to say there was a late fee applied as we booked for a slot at 1630 !. And there are no facilities not even bins until April time. You’re able to fill up with water and empty grey waste and black waste but that’s all.
Online check-in only, £18 for 7m motorhome and 2 people with electricity. No problem getting in the campground during check-in hours, the gate was already open. They do charge extra for shower and WiFi though (£1 each).
En quête d’un camping pour vider notre van, nous avons été renvoyé illico presto via un interphone à la réception. Il ne leur était apparemment pas possible de nous laisser utiliser leurs services (même payant) d’après la réceptionniste peu aimable. Elle ne nous a même pas laissé le temps de lui demander si prendre une nuit était possible. Bref, un arrêt inutile et désagréable.

Eigentlich schöner Platz. Die Bezahlung der Dusche ist grenzwertig bei dem Preis. Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Geschirr spülen nur mit kaltem Wasser möglich.
Now charging £18 per night. Told how to park. We have two dogs. No shade and we’re not allowed to park vehicle in a way to create shade for our dogs. Felt very restrictive. Asked for refund and moved on. Sorry.

easy check in & generous level pitch EHU in the circle for 2 nights & decided to stay an extra night so moved over to the aire on EHU pitches are 10amp shower blocks were clean & costs £1 4 minwe didnt use showers so cant comment if good. went to black bull pub but expensive. cheapest lager was £6.40 a pint went to the Balmoral & they also has a pretty beer garden & much cheaper £4.10 a pint
Nice clean and tidy site, toilet and showers were closed. On arrival we couldn’t get past the barrier as it wasn’t working we tried endlessly to get through, eventually we tailgated a workman who had the code. The non EHU bays are very closely spaced together. For 1 night stay I received 9 emails, they knew the barrier wasn’t working that am, I finally received the code in email number 5.
Beetje vreemde constructie. We boekten online, een paar uur voor aankomst. We kregen 6 mailtjes met HEEEEEEEEL veel informatie wat we wel en niet mochten, maar geen code voor de slagboom die dicht was (om 16.30u op zondag). Door de regen naar de 'receptie' gelopen, waar niemand was. Telefonisch de code gekregen. Vervolgens nog 4 e-mails van ze ontvangen, maar nooit iemand in levende lijve gezien.

Vorsicht ist geboten: sind dort angekommen und fragten nach einem Platz ohne Strom oder Wasser. Auf die Frage ob wir reservierten und wir dies verneinten kletterte der Preis von 8£ auf 20¥. Wohlgemerkt standen dort zwei andere Fahrzeuge. Alles andere war unbesetzt.
I went online while partner was driving to book, 6 possible slots whilst going back to check the site allows dogs we then lost network connection when I got it back 10 mins later it said no availability so I called and asked if we could have a a lot, it was 2.50pm they said they are closing at 3 so no so I said but literally 5 mins ago I could of booked just lost reception and they just said sorry no. Website says they close at 4. We have had our whole road trip planned this is day 10 and first time we can’t stay where we have planned so not happy. Oh well there loss as we’d of spent some money there in cafe and shop too.
Arrived at 16.00 to a locked barrier. An A4 sheet of paper as a sign stated “NO SAME DAY ARRIVALS” (signpost on the UK passenger side…driver has to get out to read sign) is a tad annoying. I then read the reviews and saw a lot of one star reviews. Glad I didn’t get access after all! There’s no mention of the ‘NO SAME DAY ARRIVALS” on Park4Night or The Green Frog website. Loads of rules though.

Da wir wieder mal Ver- und Entsorgen mußten, war diese Platz fürt uns notwendig. Der Platzbetreiber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit (Tipps für Lokale) sehr saubere Anlagen (neu für uns war die Ansage, das Grauwasser auf einem vorgesehenem Platz in die Erde abzulassen). Aber ansonsten fühlten wir uns hier an dem einen Tag gut aufgehoben. Warum also nicht fünf Sterne vergeben?

Lovely people that work there, including the campsite dogs there to greet you. We paid £17 for one night which included electricity. We think this was fair as the proximity to the town centre is good and the facilities are kept nice and clean.
very basic, stayed for one night, when you book online they send lots of extra emails after you book which isn't easy to keep up to when you are driving. Won't use again, overpriced for location and facilities. CPD/waste water smells and is just a grate.
Nice little site, basic, only £14 for one night for 2 adults in campervan (no EHU) site was clean and level, ground was a little uneven. I’m baffled by some of the negative comments below, relating to site rules.These are their rules, if you don’t like them stay elsewhere! One complainer below even managed a 1/5 review here and on the neighbouring caravan club site on the same day
this camp area is an easy walk so handy for seeing Moffat centre. we paid £15 for the night without electric on 25th june 2023. good cafe and shop on site.
We paid £12 to stay on the aire (large car park with marked pitches). Facilities were great, 2 full bathrooms per gender. £1 for a shower and I managed to wash/condition my hair and wash body still with time left. Water, waste and elsan all well placed and easy to use. Nice breakfast in the cafe. Only negative was other vans playing music till 2am. Would return.
Gute Lage, allerdings nachts oft bellende Hunde gehört. Die Duschzeit für 1 Pfund ist recht kurz und scheinbar abhängig von der gewählten Temperatur. Wir haben für 2 Personen und Hund im Campervan ohne Strom auf der Wiese 16 Pfund bezahlt. Den Preis empfanden wir grundsätzlich als okay, aber anhand der vorangegangenen Kommentare entstand der Eindruck, dass wir mehr bezahlten als andere.
Ich würde gerne mehr Sterne geben…Allerdings durften wir, obwohl der Platz voll war und wir die volle Übernachtungsgebühr bezahlen wollten ohne dort zu schlafen, um unsere Toilette zu leeren dies nicht tun. Der Besitzer sagte noch, dass es in der Umgebung keine andere Möglichkeit gibt und dass ich die Chemietoilette einfach in ein öffentliches Klo kippen sollte (hätte er auch so gemacht)
Paid £12 2 adults with campervan and dog for non EH aire style pitch. As a stopover it works fine. Showers and toilets seemed quite new. £1 for shower lasts about 3mins on a hot setting. The downer on this site is the Chem waste point. Open the grid and pour it in…not pretty and an assault on the senses. This area needs upgrading. In all other aspects it works. Shortish walk into Moffat.
Stayed one night on our way back from the highlands Sat nav takes you to the caravan club site so ignor it once you have got to the main road yo the collage Very qite night Toiltes clean and tidy Only down side we were acused by the owners of not haveing our dog on a lead when out walking ( she never ever comes of her lead) Great shame at it is a nice site let down by the management.
Cracking site & very friendly staff,&only £17,50 a night with EHU, bogs&showers clean & warm, level pitchs, cafe & play park for kids, short walk to town, get here before 5pm as thay close the cafe & barrier at 530pm & u need a code to get in, defo recommend
Wir kamen um 17.50 Uhr an und closed. Keine Telefonnummer nix. Also nur für early birds zu empfehlen.
Stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the stay. The toilet and showers are closed for winter and that reflex’s in the price. There are toilets in the shop you can use, when it’s open. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The fishing is really good and will definitely visit it again. The breakfast was massive and really good. There are loads of good walks in the area.
Phoned at 15.55 (on a Wednesday) to book for that night. I said I expected to be there by 16.30 to be told if I was not there in 5 mins they would be closed. Web site said open to five. Asked if I could pay over phone and get code reply was we are about to close. Have stayed there twice before lock down and found you could turn up any time and pay in morning. Very disappointed with new regime.

£17.60 for pitch with electric. No washing up or other facilities. Very waterlogged in rainy weather. Pitches very close together. Showers £2 for 4 minutes! Staff seem to change what time checking in and out times are to suit. Not a nice place and not good value. Cafe over charging tourists more than advertised prices. Hostile and confrontational operator.
Platz ansicht schön und gut gelegen, nur der Betreiber wollte unsere Freunde nucht auf den Platz lassen, weil Sie einfn Van ohne Fenster haben, nur eine Dachfenster reicht nicht ( als Wohnmobil eintragen). Es standen aber noch 2 Weitere GB Vans ohne Fenster aufdem Platz. Betreiber behauptet in den Vans währen Fenster drin!? Platz gut, für den Betreiber ist 1 Stern noch zuviel.
Kleiner gemütlicher Stellplatz. Leider hatte keiner auf die Buchungsanfrage per Mail reagiert und auch telefonisch war nur eine Bandansage mit den Öffnungszeiten dran. Man muss also schon vor 17:00 Uhr da sein, da die Schranke ansonsten zu ist.
On a tellement galéré à trouver un lieu pour vider les wc du camping car… (avec 3 enfants ça va vite) que ce lieu était le bienvenu! Mais attention, ça ferme à 17h, et ça coûte 6pounds. On peut faire le tout… recharge eau et diverses vidanges. On était juste de passage donc on ne peut pas juger sur le reste des services mais c’est tellement rare de trouver des endroits pour les vidanges en Ecosse qu’on était bien contents de trouver cet endroit.
Wir waren sehr dankbar für diesen Ort an dem man kostenlos Grauwasser los wird (mitten auf dem Platz ist einfach ein Gully), saubere Toiletten und Duschen findet und offensichtlich auch schwarzwasser entsorgen kann.
A good site with adequate facitilites, the showers & toilets were clean - £1coin needed for the shower. The site is flat & a quick walk into the town. We found lots of the pubs/hotels won’t let under 14s in so didn’t actually have anything to eat or drink there. We had breakfast in the green frog cafe which was nice. Staff helpful & pleasant. We paid £17.40 for EHU for one night.
Achtung: nachdem das Café schließt (laut Website um 17 Uhr) nur noch mit vorheriger Reservierung. Waren um 16.50 Uhr da, das Café war schon zu und wir wurden sehr unfreundlich an der Gegensprechanlage abgewiesen. Obwohl noch reichlich Platz vorhanden war. Hier hat es anscheinend jemand nicht nötig, Geld zu verdienen.

Not to be confused with the adjacent and much more expensive camping & caravan site. Barrier closes after 4pm Mon - Thus but it didn't during our stay. One star knocked off for grumpy male member of staff.
£10, water, toilet disposal on site. Very quiet & flat site, couldn't fault it! I'd recommend booking ahead as there's a pin controlled barrier outwith opening hours. Short walk to town centre.

Great place to stop over. safe & secure with toilet block & showers. £9 per night. They have a new barrier up so book ahead. They also have a garden centre, soft play, cafe (that serves a great brekky for £6) & fishing. prebook We will defo use again
Quiet place. There is a new toilet block with showers. Just had breakfast in the on-site cafe £7.50 for a large breakfast and a pot of tea. £9.00 per night without hookup short walk to Moffat centre. Would stop again

Arrivés vers 19h nous avons été gentillement accueillis bien que le Coffee Shop soit fermé. 10 livres pour un emplacement sans électricité. Odeur d'égouts dans les sanitaires.
7£ la nuit sans électricité en cc plus de bornes disponibles notre arrivée vers 16h. Par contre pas d'accès aux douches ni au wc possible. Vidange eaux noires ok mais eaux grises au seau pas de grille au sol. Ok pour remplir en eau. Il faut aller au coffee shop pour payer, il ferme tôt sinon faut payer le lendemain avant de partir. Nuit très calme.
Faites très attention car nous nous sommes retrouvés dans un camping très cher (57 livres) qui jouxte celui-ci, le chemin est à prendre bien plus loin, chemin en terre où rien n'est indiqué !

Area perfecta para pasar la noche. Tiene todos los servicios a un precio muy bueno. Hay parcelas con y sin luz. Nosotros pagamos 12,5 pounds por 1 AC grande con electricidad. Hay baños, duchas, carga de agua y descarga d grises y negras.. hay justo detras de la cafeteria, una zona de picnic con barbacoas, lagos y patos. Perfecto para pasar el dia y la noche, con niños. Sitio muy limpio y muy tranquilo

Sehr netter Empfang. Täglich von 9-17 Uhr offen. 2 Personen im Camper ohne Strom 7.5£. Nutzung von Dusche und WC 1£ pro Person pro Tag (kleiner Container, Sauberkeit ok). Wenn Laden zu, einfach Parken und am nächsten Tag zahlen. Leider keine Möglichkeit zu Spülen, ansonsten perfekt für den Preis! Frühstück am nächsten Tag im Cafe möglich.

Great little spot for reasonably priced coffee and food. Nice outside seating near Fishing lake. Much more relaxing on a long journey than a service station. Well worth the 5 min trip from the M74
