excellent location, a simple car park with 24 hrs access to toilets. good phone signal. Hotel has free WiFi, food was ok and there is also free EHU if you buy food / drink. Hotel looks like it needs a bit of TLC but still worth a visit.

Really fabulous food. The facts that the location is beautiful (albeit still just a car park), the toilets are 24hr accessible and the Landlord allows dogs and access to a free EHU is just the icing on the cake. Landlord currently trying to sell up as a going concern (wants to retire) so, hopefully new owners will be as accommodating

This place is perfect for an overnight stop - and the food is incredible. Very chilled and friendly atmosphere

It’s a really good spot, car park is pretty flat and food is cracking. If you’re passing pop in! (Probs best to call first)

Felt very lucky to get a spot here after calling on spec on a Saturday afternoon. Landlord very obliging, free EHU (amazing), lovely evening meal. The Horseshoe Inn is a gem in a special location. Well worth a visit.

Looks like a nice spot. Was told by pub staff that you need to book ahead of time for a pitch. Had food there but nothing to go crazy about.

Absolutely perfect stop over. Fantastic reasonably priced food. Lovely cocktails too! We stayed for one night. 24hr toilet and free hook up! Call in advance to secure your spot and they cordoned off a place for us. The cockerel was a lovely wake up call. Such a beautiful area. Oh and a farm shop too. It wasn’t open when we got up but the landlord sold us some bacon. Highly recommended

Wir standen hier für eine Nacht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, das Essen im Pub lecker und ein Besuch im Farmshop eine Empfehlung. Genial war, dass es 24h Zugang zu Toiletten gab und auch ein Stromanschluss verfügbar war. Mehr als eine Empfehlung

Great wee stopover, very friendly staff and owner, we got ehu and filled with water, food was great, and car park is nice and quiet, stopover 6/7 miles from Whitby, great wee find. The road in from the A171 wasn’t very good, but well signposted

Fantastic stopover. Great cosy pub with fire and lovely food. Farm shop, 24 hour toilets and hook up with no charge, just the standard expectation of eating in the pub which is no hardship. Welcoming and friendly landlords.

Amazing overnight spot. 24/7 toilet. Free park up with ECU when using the pub for a meal. We had bar snacks/drinks & then breakfast the next morning - lovely food, welcoming staff & great communication from the place beforehand as emailed ahead & reserved an overnight spot which was coned off for us & ready to use. Will be back & highly recommend.

lovely stop over. landlord and staff are very welcoming. landlord is also the chef and the food was amazing. open fire and cosy. we had free electric hook up. there's 3 points. but the car park itself would hold several more. there are toilets and hand-wash basens open 24 hours. free WiFi in pub definitely be coming back here .

Brilliant stop over free EHU and 24hr toilets. Fab food in the pub and stunning location. Ring ahead to book on car park. Dogs very welcome. We will definitely be back.

Lovely pub/hotel. Very welcoming staff. Space for 3 campervans. Outside toilet open all night. Had evening meal and breakfast. Great stay

Great pub, good beer, lovely food, nice quite spot apart from the dawn choir cockerels. Also do not use if you are NOT dog friendly. Not everyone appreciates having a dog slavering and barking around the dining table. Great bar staff and management thanks for a fantastic stay.

Please note pub/hotel is closed until 26 Jan 2023 of maintenance.

Like everyone else says… a great pub stopover. Managed to get a space ringing ahead the day before during October half term. Free EHU! Loved the rural atmosphere; owls hooting at night, wood smoke from the open fire in the pub and cockerels crowing at dawn. Our evening meal was superb. Will definitely be back.

Great spot! The pub staff and owner are super welcoming. Food is delicious with pub classics like gammon and chips and steak and ale pie, but very gourmet. Quiet night's sleep and clean toilets open all night.

Stayed in our MH here with EHU totally free if you have a beer (or four) and very welcoming. Relatively quiet nights sleep apart from a few chickens at dawn (the beer helps) to sleep through it. Dog friendly too, we have a Patterdale and she’s not the best behaved dog but no complaints. We didn’t have food so can’t comment although it did look nice.

Great spot, lovely and accomodating people. Free, if you don't want to use the electric hook ups, though they appreciate you using the pub for food/drinks. Outdoor toilets are open all night for campers to use. Food and drink all good!

A lovely hotel and pub set in a picturesque village. Owners are really lovely and offer hook up and a place to park up as long as you eat and drink there of course. Dog friendly too. Lovely food and lots going on. They have a farm shop and nice outdoor area as well as their really quaint and cosy hotel. They hold wine/gin/cheese tasting events as well as Christmas and New Year events.

Stunning country pub, very friendly staff and parking for the night. Open fire and a pint. What more could anyone want. 5*

Ok if I was mean I'd knock the score down by a half. only because the car park for a large unit is interesting to negotiate. that said the reception was good warm and friendly. the food in the restaurant is amazing. highly recommended treating yourself and booking a table in the restaurant. you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful food. Best food we’ve had out in a longer time. Managed to get a 24ft low profile motorhome into the car park with some manoeuvring of other cars. Car park slightly unlevel. 3 electric hook up points. Would definitely visit again.

Stayed 23/10/2020. Covid regulations followed perfectly. We had a meal and a few beers and a bottle of wine. Food was spot on local beers delicious. Lovely Puglia wine. Staff attentive and polite. Electric hook up available. Larger motorhomes may struggle to get in the car park but small to up to 7m you must make the effort. Well worth it.

Quiet little pub, very friendly but book in advance for food, we missed out!
