One star to alert: BE AWARE OF RATS!! Don’t park by river bank or bins. Big rat problem at the moment friends electrics got damaged and I had a rat on my roof. Otherwise, great place to stay. Good dog walks and easy to get to town. Highly recommend Third Place which is next to the car park, I love staying here in the winter evening and having my take out curry at the van.

Excellent place to stay. Great location for walking into Town as foot bridge direct from the Carpark. We stayed two nights and no issues. Parking App excellent and didn't charge extra for using it. Busy Carpark used by Locals but very little noise. Would come and stay again.

Great spot for the town centre. Felt safe and secure, plenty of others around. Very reasonable to not levy a charge overnight; kudos to the council for that.

Good car park and close to town centre.

Brilliant location, right by the river Severn, 2 min away from shops and town center, very calm car park, 4-6 other camper vans. Beautiful walk by the river. You'll have to pay for two spaces if your van is long which we did it costs £12 per day and free over night. It was worth it we needed a good couple days to rest after long drive. Darwin Shopping Mall has Free filtered water by the toilets.

Great location. Nice walks to the town centre and along the river. Paddle board/kayak access directly from car park and it is also a designated bathing area. Nice walk around the town, steeped in history. Quiet night considering it was a Saturday night and so close to the centre. Definitely will return.

Excellent stopover- very close to town but also very quiet. Some large spaces for vans available , but if they are full and you use two normal car spaces you are asked to pay for both spaces. Free overnight parking.

There are spaces along the far side which are good for longer rigs. £27/week, but pay for 2 spots if you use them. I stayed in one of the coach spots and the parking enforcement officer had no problems with that for about a week and then another officer decided it was not okay and I ended up with a £35 fine. Lots to do in town and easy access to buses and trains for day trips.

Great place to stop for the night. flat and quiet, apart from low level nouse from town bars in evening. not disturbing though.

Great park up £6.40 all day parking overnight is free,quiet and safe. Spent all day in Shrewsbury highly recommended I wish more councils would do this for large motorhomes.

What a brilliant place to stopover for a night or two. A great location, very quite and the amazing centre of Shrewsbury just over the bridge. Amazing architecture and shopping experience, We were here on a Friday, when they have a ‘concert in the round’ a free 45 minute concert at St Chad’s Church - a beautiful performance which made our day. We will be back at some point to explore the park etc.

Got here 5.30pm yesterday and the car park was empty. Stayed all day today for £6.80 and the car park is packed. As previously said, a great nights sleep and a fantastic spot to explore Shrewsbury, just across the river by footbridge.

Stayed several times over the past few months, Always a good night sleep and always feel safe. Usually at least 1 or 2 others staying there too. Great walks along river and also into the town

Really good parking, big enough for motorhomes, we arrived at Sunday so free, next day we just put 80 p for an hour, walking distance to center

closed due to possible flooding when we arrived. according to the locals it floods fairly frequently. we haven't found any place to spend the night yet.

Very good spot for a night, not far from the town centre. we parked in a long bay next to the hedge (7.5m). Shrewsbury is lovely. Thanks to the council for allowing parking overnight for larger vehicles.

Thankfully the local council are happy for overnighting in vans. Parking was busy on our arrival and noted a few cars in the longer bays adjacent to the field. Waited a bit as we’d overhang a normal bay. car left and managed to get between two mohos. Paid £6. No toilets but bins & field 4 dog walks. spent the day walking Shrewsbury, lunch out and pubs. Then evening pub food n beers. Safe night.

Excellent spot for an overnight park up, with lots of room for campervans and some spaces for larger motorhomes. Free between 6pm - 8am, only 80p an hour during the day. No facilities but it is quiet, safe, and close to the city centre. Why don't more towns provide this!

Great night in car park. Very close to Town Centre. We opted to park in two bays and pay the charges, as all other large bays were already full.

good car Park 5 mins to town over bridge. lovely historic Town. car Park slightly sloping but only a little. quiet felt safe £6.40/24hrs, free 6pm to 8am. vans over 7mtr may have to buy 2 tickets as bays are about 7mtr. larger vans may fit in one bay on far left of car Park by the metal railing . stayed 2 nights, well worth it. no service just bins

excellent park up in large car park in basically the city centre. great cost. long campervan spaces at rear of carpark, next to hedge. no services, but close to lots of pubs, shops & cafes. quiet night after nearby theatre finished. car park well used during the day.

Broke my cherry! Working in the area I needed to find somewhere safe for the night, having never van camped before. Excellent location, felt very safe, lots of people walking through but not once did I feel threatened. Large car park with plenty of room. And all for free overnight. Easy access into the town centre but no facilities. You can get a shower in the leisure centre, 10mins walk away, £5.

Excellent park up bang in the centre of this lovely town and only a short walk via a footbridge from the carpark. Flat surface easy access to get in with larger campervan bays at the rear along the hedgerow. Pay and display 80p per hour during day and free after 6pm until 8am. ( make sure you park within the lines of a bay if not you'll need two tickets. Tarmac surface with litter bin. A gem.

Top Parkplatz! Sehr, sehr günstig, nachts und Sonntags frei. 6,40£/24h max. Ideal nah an der Stadt, perfekt zum Gassi gehen im angrenzenden Park. Schön weit links in der Ecke sind die Parkbuchten länger und sehr ruhig und ungestört.

BEWARE! MAKE SURE TO PARK IN A BAY WITH LINES PAINTED AROUND IT. Just been stung for £25 because we parked at the edge by the river where the surface has new tarmac but no new lines have been painted. The traffic warden insisted that it is not a marked bay and that's why we got a ticket! They must make hundreds of pounds every week. Otherwise a great place to overnight.

Stayed here on and off over a week (£27 for the whole time). Lots of other vans and motorhomes came and went too. It was quiet and very safe. A great spot to explore the whole town. No facilities other than bins.

Several other motorhomes here 21/4/24. Felt safe and quiet at night. Few minutes walk into lovely town with bars and restaurants. Lovely walk along river. No services other than bins. All good and will return.

Great park up £6.40 a day. Free from 6pm-8am and Sundays and Bank Holidays. Two minutes walk from town. Always a few motorhomes parked up so feels safe. Lovely town nice places to eat out. Right by Severn Theatre.

Had a cracking weekend here. Bargain and parking free on Sundays. Felt very safe. 5mins walk over bridge into town.

We stayed here in our 7.2 m with our children on a Friday night. We needed two tickets as we couldn’t fit in one bay. Felt safe. Some noise from the nearby road but that’s the trade off if you want to be central.

Nice big car park with larger spaces around the sides. nice and quiet and felt safe. few other campers around. £6.40 for ten hours however that doesn't include any times between 6pm-8am. we arrived 8pm and paid for the 6.40 and ticket was valid until 6pm the next day which was great. just keep an eye out for flooding. just ensure your are only parked in 1 space as can be charged for 2.

Stayed one night, quiet overnight and felt very safe. So convenient for the town centre, will certainly stay here again.

Big car park close to the city centre. Stayed over one night and came to £6.40 for 24hours. There is loads of space to park up and it’s just a short walk across the bridge and you are at the centre, ideal for a night out like I did with the Mrs. Quiet enough too.

good spot to overnight and visit the town. A little noise in the early evening with trial bikers practicing wheelies. There were probably eight or nine vans when we stayed.

Second time in this big carpark plenty of spaces. handy for town and river walks. fabulous Indian restaurant 100 mts away ( third place) we got a takeaway back to van

Stayed here one night after reading reviews. Note slight price increase. Parked in corner near to cricket ground and was able to exercise the dog away from the pitch. Very peaceful night and no bother. Lots of vans and motorhomes but plenty of room. Short walk into Town centre. Quarry Park worth a visit on what was warm summer evening.

Large car park, lots of space very close to the river and town centre. We stayed for just one night, it was really quiet and free on the bank holiday.

Quiet night, 5 minute walk into Shrewsbury and found nice 40 minute tarmac walk along bank of Severn for dogs. Three other vans stayed night and I bought ticket in evening to cover me for next day rather than having to get up before 8am when charging kicked in. There is a 24/7 launderette on other side of town too which is alway handy.

Brilliant stop. Huge car park, plenty of space including longer spaces along the back. Short walk in to the city centre, plenty of places to eat & drink. Free after 6pm and on Sundays, apart from the odd occasion where cars drive around & play music, all is quiet overnight.

Collected camper on Monday and had to visit Shrewsbury for a Xmas doo on Wednesday so ideal chance to test it out. Three other camper vans already there when I arrived. CCTV and lighting on site. No issues overnight and little noise from nearby roads either

Great park up and free between 18.00 - 08.00.We stayed here for 2 nights and will definitely be returning soon.Just over the footbridge takes you to bars/restaurants.Would be a lovely stopover in the summer too

at last a motorhome friendly Council , parked here for 2 nights, very safe ,cameras over car Park area and good lighting. short walk to shops and cafes etc , 2nd night a few cars turned up and played loud music but left after 1hr. make sure you lock up van as town seems to have a few rough sleepers, etc but we had no problems..

A quiet, hazzle free car park. Cost 1.40 for overnight and few hours in the morning. Short walk from the footbridge to town. Had a few youngsters driving around being silly at night, but didn't bother us at all. Would definitely come again. Don't follow the sat nav when you get into town, it will take you down a very narrow road to a dead end.

Big car park. Easy to find a spot. Playground right next to it, BUT some gym group meets there in the morning on Friday lifting weights and playing music, so be prepared for the night to be over shortly after 6. Also people like to meet in the park in the evening behind the playground so best park furthest away possible from the playground.

guter Ausgangspunkt um die Stadt zu besichtigen. teuer ist er auch nicht, wir zahlten 70 pence die Stunde. es gibt sehr viele Parkplätze. die Stadt ist schön zu besichtigen.

Cryptic sign there says; 'Motorhomes allowed, however daily charges applies' I read (perhaps wrongly?) that it's free for cars after 6pm, but campers pay the day rate at any time? So £5.20 per night (& £10.40 if you overlap a bay). Seems fair to chip-in for its position, but if fined, perhaps arguable that the wording is too opaque? Nice theatre next door with choice of 2 stages.

Great find! Arrived 7.30pm, and parked at the far bottom corner out of the way. Bought a ticket for 3 hours (£2.10) which gave us a lie in on the morning. Surprisingly quiet night, and no noise early on the monday morning either. Would definitely recommend. Nice to see a litter picker out at 8am too!

Great quiet overnight spot for visiting the town. Put 70p in meter before realising free parking on Sundays. Still it gave me an hours extra lie in for Monday morning instead, before needing to move.

Great stopover last Thursday and Friday nights, very quiet, short distance from the lovely town. Will definitely stay there again.

Good stay here, large carpark with lights and security cameras. no issues but parking charges restart at 8am so be up and out early

Great parking to visit an interesting town. If you’re looking for something different don’t go over the bridge but walk out of the car park entrance you drove in and look for the pink flamingo, not cheap but a nice quirky bar.

Good car park for overnight. Not noisy. Close to centre. Nice walking along riverbank.

We spent a very quiet night here 24 Oct 19 with no problems. Illuminated all night so felt safe. Few cars moving after 10.30pm. very convenient for town centre via footbridge and lovely walk along riverbank to The Quarry.
