Stationnement sur la terre battue d'une route à voie unique, calme, au-dessus du réservoir. Qui a été utilisé pour pratiquer les raids Dambuster. Bon pour l'observation des oiseaux.

Parking on dirt area off quiet single track road, over looking reservoir. Which was used to practice Dambuster raids. Now good for bird spotting.

Parken auf dem Feldweg einer ruhigen, einspurigen Straße oberhalb des Stausees. Welches verwendet wurde, um Dambuster Raids zu üben. Gut für die Vogelbeobachtung.

Was quite busy when here, cars with loud music etc. Uneven concrete ground in a lay-by type parking area, next to a road. There is a bin on site. Lovely view of the reservoir. Also the site used to practice and develop the dam buster bombs during WW2.

  • 5/5

Eyebrook corner layby was lovely, only van here. The tree in the middle is full of bird feeders, attracting much bird life. Nice views across the reservoir. Had a great evening walk around the reservoir. Only a few dog walkers. Would stay again.

  • 5/5

Wonderful spot! On a slope but not too many potholes and very quiet. 5G on 3. No footpaths near so not used by dog walkers. Lovely view over Eyebrook Reservoir. Small bin provided. Please leave no trace. Great to see it clean a tidy on my visit let’s keep it that way.

  • 4/5

A beautiful park up, we stayed overnight, it was very quiet and peaceful, the only sounds we could hear was that of the local wildlife on the lake. For those needing a good phone coverage 5G was great.

  • 5/5

A great spot. Wow… the amount of bird life is astounding. Nice sunset too ! All was quiet, with just one other van pulling up later in the evening. A couple of bins available. Good 4G and 5G.

  • 5/5

Lovely parkup, I stayed further along the reservoir than the parking area and it was so quiet. I counted four other vans here in the morning but scattered along the track so not crowded. This really isn’t a busy road, there were a handful of cars and a handful of walkers the next day.

  • 2/5

5/5 aux standards anglais sûrement : lay-by sur une route passante avec beaucoup de va-et-vient et en pente. Certes la vue est belle et les cygnes ont l’air heureux.

  • 5/5

Great for A stopover. Very quiet with good views across the reservoir the only noise we heard was the large flocks of geese. Road quite busy till after dark then nothing till early morning walkers

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Spent a Friday night here, really quiet, the first other vehicle to turn up (apart from 2 other campers) was at 8am.

  • 5/5

spent the night with 2 other campers. super quiet and peaceful

  • 5/5

Beautiful stay. Couple other vans. Pulled duo late and woke to the beautiful views. A waste bin but no toilets.

  • 5/5

AMAZING!! Cannot rate this place highly enough, amazing views, very peaceful. Loved every minute

  • 5/5

Just pure indulgence in a late Spring day. Internet too. Lots of dog walkers at day time but no night time doggers. Will be sad to move on. Two bins, one looks like it gets emptied albeit it's drowning in foliage.

  • 4/5

Good quiet spot for sleeping, a little traffic early evening but nothing that causes concern. Realistically probs only suitable for a couple of vans on the level area. Couple of bins but these were full, take your rubbish home I’d say. Amazing views and sunset!

  • 4/5

nice little spot, couple of bins, and pretty quite, a few walkers and fisherman, nice stay for the night

  • 5/5

Good spot, parked down the lane on the grass ?

  • 5/5

Quiet and not many other visitors. A few extra spots to park around the reservoir too if the main area is full.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot at the side of the reservoir , as said by previous campers there’s only really two level ish spots but room for 5 vans maybe overall. We just stayed one night on our way back upto Sheffield after reading reviews on here and wasn’t disappointed.

  • 5/5

had the first night in my campervan here what a lovely spot

  • 5/5

lovely to wake up next to the reservoir, peaceful location. Partly muddy. Good phone signal. Good for bird spotting too.

  • 4/5

Taken a star off as only flat for a couple of vans, the rest is on a hill. There was no one else staying over so not an issue for me, it was very quiet at night other than the birds ( no boy racers wizzing by) Walkers and bird watchers coming and going all day, felt safe.

  • 5/5

Beautiful peaceful spot! Spent a Saturday night there - no problems

  • 5/5

A cracking spot, birdwatcher/dogwalker paradise. Overnighted last night; peaceful, undisturbed sleep and super view to wake up to.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot by reservoir and nature reserve. No height or width restrictions. Level area for about 3 vans plus more slopping. Dog walkers/twitchers early am. Bins on site into which we put other peoples litter. Please keep these places tidy so we can continue to use them.

  • 5/5

Very nice Spot. Another Van was already parked and we weren‘t bothered all night long.

  • 5/5

Beautiful stop. Two cars there when we arrived, but just bird watchers I think. By 9pm we were on our own and had a very peaceful night. Agree that level spots are limited but we were lucky. Rubbish bins available. Beautiful walk along the reservoir in the morning to see the abundant bird life. Moved off after breakfast to explore nearby Lyddington village, stunning.

  • 5/5

peaceful evening and night. hardly any vehicle noise from road. lovely views and will come back.

  • 5/5

    limited flatness, unlimited views

  • 4/5

Lovely spot well worth the visit, only reason not 5 stars is that there was nothing nearby and there was a rave or something going off nearby until about 6am, it’s not very level, so if you have vertigo… avoid! It was a beautiful spot to wake up looking over the lake/reservoir. Very, very quite (other than the rave) only heard one or two cars in the morning. Family 2 adults 3 kids 1,3,6

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight here. Lovely, peaceful spot, but does get a bit busier during the day. Not very level. Fairly good 3G/4G on EE & o2.

  • 5/5

a very quiet spot with fabulous views.

  • 4/5

Nice quiet spot for a stopover. ground a bit uneven in places so pick your spot wisely!

  • 5/5

stop here for one and was perfect. other 2 campers was here already but there is enough room for about 5. lake infront of you . cows mooing in the morning and beautiful sunset. not alot if traffic. will be using this spot again

  • 5/5

Nous avons passé une super nuit. Dans le calme, entouré d'oiseaux. Des promeneurs en journée. Super vue

  • 5/5

A great over night spot, ready for a long day at Corby International Swimming Pool.

  • 4/5

Fab spot , amazing views and location overlooking the reservoir where they practiced the dambuster mission. Not very level however , a few spaces also further on at side of road too that might be easier . However the peace , views and wildlife make up for it . Very restful , one other van with us and no noise at all . Bliss .

  • 5/5

A sense of calmness with the birds singing, the soft rhythm from boat rowers, stillness at night with many stars shimmering & shared with 2 other mohos. Spot on.

  • 5/5

have stayed here on two separate occasions, both times was dead quiet, no issues. lovely view of the water, a bin on site also

  • 3/5

lovely location but struggled to get level as cars parked in the lay-by. car parked with music bangin out, it would have been better if he had decent taste in music. moved on after a few hrs.

  • 5/5

What a lovely little place. Quiet, with only the occasional bird call which was nice.

  • 5/5

Simply superb. I imagine when it’s not a week before Christmas this is quite busy. But I had it to myself until dog walking hours. Very nice.

  • 5/5

Great quiet spot by the lake. A few noisy creatures at night! A couple of bins for rubbish and lots of ducks and swans. we had one swan come and visit us in the morning! :)

  • 5/5

This is such a beautiful location. We only stopped for the day but would consider coming back for the night. Really very quiet in the morning with lots of peaceful bird watchers.

  • 4/5

A great spot with a great view to wake up to. A few cars with loud music stopped alongside in the night but no trouble.

  • 5/5

    Beautiful spot, very quiet.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot, over looking the Reservoir. Very quiet and surrounded by nature. A few other vans parked up in the other laybys along the road, enough space for 4 or 5 vans.

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot with wonderful views! Parked here tonight and all you can hear are the birds, just perfect!

  • 5/5

The other reviews are spot on: we arrived at car park, followed road around to right and parked up in our own little layby. glorious sunset, birds, cows grazing, the odd dog walker, highly recommended. the local village that we drove through is ADORABLE.

  • 4/5

Lovely peaceful spot overlooking the water and some inquisitive cows. There are a handful of spots further up too, which is where I parked for the night.

  • 5/5

I loved this spot. Great sunset and beautiful full moon at night. Stayed three nights with my friend. Lots of talks with locals and birdspotters. Famous spot for photographers and videographers. And one morning we got surprised by a herd of cows with young.

  • 4/5

Ideal for a night or 2 fairly quiet and a nice view, however not much room for many vans and also no facilities near by, perfect place for a quick stop over

  • 5/5

Nice spot, I was alone in the evening and woke up to two cars arriving and leaving. no problems. got some smiles from passing dog walkers as I had dinner on my roof watching the sunset :)

  • 5/5

Brilliant spot, managed to get a level place and we were the only ones there overnight.

  • 5/5

Lovely area, lots of rubbish in the bushes sadly, hope it’s not from van lifers. Amazing reservoir and birds, felt safe as I parked with my door facing the hedge. 23/12/2020

  • 4/5

Sort of levelish. Very nice spot off the country road.

  • 5/5

Stayed here night Monday night this week on our way up to the peak district. Really quiet, one other camper for company. Safe place to stay.

  • 4/5

Lovely place to stay. The better parking is further along the single track road. Great views to wake up to. Only negative is that walking around the reservoir is prohibited as it is private land.

  • 4/5

Nice spot, plenty of spaces around the reservoir. Quiet with just the cows and geese for company.

  • 5/5

The car park was full, however the better camping spots were around the reservoir on the single track road. Very quiet overnight, undisturbed. One runner in the morning. Beautiful location looking onto the water.

  • 4/5

Lovely view, busy spot with locals. But the single track road is quiet. Bins provided for litter, ground is uneven.

  • 4/5

Great place with water views. Lots of parking spaces around the water. I recommend going around the lake and finding your place.

  • 4/5

Large space to park off of quiet road. litter bins. ok for small and larger campers. views of the reservoir

  • 5/5

Easy to find just off A6003. Parked on a Friday night, late. V quite a few dog walkers in the morning. All very friendly . Good walk down to the dam. Will use again if I had to.

  • 4/5

I stayed here on the recommendation of previous visitors and the fotos supplied. It was late at night when i stopped by and the parking area was easy to find at night, it was clear of anyone else and the view of the stars was immense! So little light pollution at this top so on clear night the stars were vivid. Even saturn was viewable! I awoke to many walkers and and loads of cows. A whole herd graze this area like natures lawnmowers. Lovely view of the reservoir and the bird life is varied and lovely to see and hear. No ammenities and 1 butnt out bin but otherwise a lovely stop for 1 or 2 nights with uppingham and seaton just down the road. Reccomend seaton’s pub - the george and dragon for a delicious treat fro. Their middle priced menu. The chef is a artist!

  • 2/5

There already was one van and on the other spots I really cannot get my van anywhere near level. Nice view, poor spot.

  • 3/5

Lovely place to park except at 4am we were woken to 6 youths attempting to steal our bikes from our bike rack, such a shame

  • 4/5

Very quiet night. Several cars arrived for walking in the morning but no problem. Nice to see all the birds on the water
