great wee park up, got here late a bit of traffic noise but nothing to worry about, transport garage and shop a short walk away great for refueling both van and yourself, not overpriced and the coffee machine actually works properly, the fuel is normal price too.

  • 5/5

Close to the highway but still cosy: cute families taking kids and dogs for a morning walk. Suitable for large campers too. As we say in Holland: dikke prima!

  • 3/5

quite a lot of traffic noise but nice place. bare in mind when coming from west to east you will find it very hard to get in as the entrance comes right back on its self i had to do down the road and turn around but my van is 9m tag long axle.

  • 1/5

The fuel station is excellent, with very good prices and auto gas. Road noise from the M6, which is overhead, is quite intrusive. We moved in the end and found a quieter spot. I would use it again as a last resort.

Parked up there last night within 2 hours security turned up to tell me a container there was monitored by there firm.He did not tell me to leave but said I may get a few knocks during the night, the container was covered by cctv so moved a few hundred yards up the road on the right to large lay-by we passed on way there

28_2/25 lovely spot by the canal ,garage ,shop 50yds away . woke up to ducks and had a walk along the towpath. There is road noise from M6 ,very close, but dudnt bother us. No facilities, but can get them at the garage.

Not closed and a construction site

  • 4/5

Good place for overnight, some traffic noise. Woke to be told by workers they are closing the carpark today for 4 months ☹️

  • 4/5

Un bel endroit près d'un canal où nous avons eu le plaisir de nous réveiller en compagnie d'une famille de cygnes ! Il est vrai que le bruit de l'autoroute qui passe à côté est présent mais quand on dort, on n'entend rien.

Just off the M6, by the canal. Dog walkers and fishers in the morning but they’re no bother. Background noise from the M6 but nothing major. Lovely views at sunset and sunrise, decent signal too. Quite a large parking space. No facilities but there’s a garage right across from it. Garage has toilets and part for hot food during day hours (good for in the morning). Can also grab a brew :)

  • 4/5

No services and some road noise. Good for a night - especially for a break from driving on the nearby M6. The fuel station has diesel and pumped LPG at normal prices. Decent pub a short stroll away.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot just off the M6 and right next to a garage. We were the only ones there. Traffic is a little noisy though so ear plugs are recommended if you struggle to fall asleep with noise.

  • 5/5

Very convenient parkup. Only used by dog walkers and fisherman. Some noise from the adjacent road. Good 4g. No facilities. Would recommend.

  • 5/5

Nice spot, walk along canal for the dog plus garage opposite which has LPG and let me fill up with water too.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot next to the canal. Bit of road noise but fine if you are not a light sleeper

  • 4/5

arrived at 10.30pm empty car park lovely views to wake upto as others have said there is noise from the road but didn't bother us from 12 untill 6am was barely any noise at all nice little spot for walking the hound garage is 24hr and has a toilet and not over priced like the services these days overall worth a try

  • 5/5

Some motorway noise but otherwise a quiet night easy to get to from the motorway

  • 4/5

A beautiful place to park up for the night. Yes it’s too close to the M6 to be noise free but in a well insulated van it’s not a problem. The canal is very scenic and great if you want miles of traffic free walking, cycling or paddle boarding. Just off Jct 36 so ideal if your travelling north or south up the west coast.

  • 3/5

We have used the lay-by just down the road in the past but it was full of cars when we arrived. So we moved to here. It’s VERY close to the motorway so very noisy all night. One other van with us. As has been said nice location next to the canal and flat and good to walk the dog. No issues stopping the night and felt safe. But take ear plugs.

  • 3/5

flat, almost, easy access and free. no facilities. very close to the motorway so expect noise. boy racers use the 24 hour garage just up the road as a meet and great point. Loud exhaust pipes even in the pouring rain. But it's free. Quite pretty.

  • 4/5

Empty, clean, by the canal. some road noise but not too bad. no facilities but off the road and feels safe. garage just few mins walk away

  • 4/5

Really pretty spot , with no over night hassles. Just a bit noisy , but has to be expected consider how close it is to the motorway.made for a great stopover on the way to Scotland .

  • 4/5

Lovely little spot straight off the M6. Right by side of canal that could probably fit 3 motorhomes. Not noisy considering just off motorway. Texaco Garage across the road has water tap too. Pulled over for bit of lunch and got cadac barbecue out. Didn’t stop over night but definitely would feel safe and ok to do so.

  • 3/5

Beautiful spot for watching the wildlife, we saw 3 enormous swans hanging out on the slipway. Combined noise from motorway and local road was too much, so we moved on.

  • 2/5

It would do in a pinch I suppose but you'd definitely have to have ear plugs I reckon, it looks nice and peaceful though, pity about the noise motorway above you. I moved on from here.

  • 4/5

A convenient off road overnight spot 5mins from the Milnthorpe Showground, space for 2-3 campers, as you need to keep the slipway accessible. As others have said the road noise might be intrusive to some, it didn’t bother us at all. Highly recommended.

  • 4/5

Good hard standing. Right by canal. Noisy from road/motorway... watch for hidden and tight turn....slow right down after passing Texaco garage on right and under motorway.

  • 4/5

Great overnight stop. Can hear motor from outside. But when your wrapped up in bed it's not an issue. Great place if you have had a long drive

  • 5/5

Great place with plenty of space. You can hear the m6 traffic but it's not an annoying noise, it's background noise. Didn't prevent me from sleeping at all. Arrived at night though and missed the entrance so keep your eyes open to a field looking entrance to your left right before the intercession shown on a picture. It'll be on your left when you come from the gas station end.

  • 1/5

Way too noisy. Nice location next to canal but too much road noise. Stopped to make s meal and decided to move on.

  • 4/5

Great place, really pretty. a 24hr petrol station 50 yds away for Costa machine and hot pies in the morning and essentials like milk and toilets. great walk all along the canal. close to M6 but wasn't noisy. looks like they are making the parking area bigger so a very welcome stop over.
