(HS1 2XT) Stornoway -

Very bad, don't go. there were young kids coming in and out with their cars. it looked as they were doing races all over the town. we decided to move as they were even parking next to our camper van and when we left the parking the followed us. it was a bit annoying.

Wow, every night I stayed , was a boy racers paradise.. expect to be awake until the small hours..it’s free, it’s on the edge of town.. 2-3 ain’t bad..

Useful stopover in town with a few bays big enough to take up to 7m. Exposed if windy and, inevitably, busy with some noise, lots of coming & going. Convenient for shops, takeaways, pubs, etc - far more here than anywhere else on the islands.

Very close to all the pubs and restaurants. Not ideal if you want to spend the evening in your camper but a great place to crash post pub night

Stayed for 1 night after going to the local pub. Very quiet, no facilities but toilets 5 mins walk away. Paid £2 for shower at local centre nearby

Ideal for a quick stop, close to town…boy racers till back of 10…no issues. No services

When people mentioned boy racers, I didn't think it'd be as bad as it was - until 1am! Toilets are very dirty, cost 30p and are not in the grounds. Up at 5.30 for the ferry and so tired due to no sleep from the cars revving by all night. Only good thing is its free 1 min from the port.

A simple place to stay before an early ferry. The nearby toilets and showers that someone has mentioned are very good, especially shower at £1 for 15 mins. But they close at 1800 and no thers nearby so you need to be self-contained in that regard. Noisy boy racers in their cars.

Parking in marked bays only which are only big enough for a car, maybe if you take two places up it might be a problem

Einfacher kostenloser Parkplatz mit schöner Aussicht. Nachts war es sehr Ruhig.

Not the most scenic of spots, but free and flat for overnight parking! Handy if you’re wanting to eat out in Stornoway and have a few drinks, or catch an early morning ferry. A little noise until around 10.30pm which locals in noisy cars, but quiet after that. Nearest toilet is 5 minute walk to the one near the tourist info centre (30p entry, £1 for a fairly decent 15 minute shower, all very clean!) or the ferry terminal.

Makes sense if you take the ferry early in the morning. Otherwise better to look for a spot in nature nearby.

Pas très charmant, mais très pratique pour aller faire un tour dans le centre ville ou pour passer la nuit quand on prend le ferry tôt le lendemain matin. Pas dérangé par le bruit, à part les mouettes qui viennent se balader sur le toit du camping-car.

Guter Stellplatz ohne Installation aber direkt im Hafen und guter kurzer Fußweg in die Innenstadt

Parking idéal pour visiter la ville mais trop bruyant la nuit.
